| MAC = Huge effing linear-accelerator siege cannon. The longer your barrel, the more time your multi-ton slug has to accelerate within the magnetic fields of the gun. More speed = more energy on impact. More energy on impact = more boom. So the wise thing to do with a MAC cannon is to mount it spinally so that it runs down the whole ship. | |

If that had enough computational power to run Minecraft and Futurecraft, it would be pure awesomesauce.

| I'm thinking that for game balance, you can't take a ZPM through portals, meaning it is stuck in the system it was constructed in. It would still be good for orbital defenses, space stations, and mining platforms. | |

- For those of you who don't know how a ZPM works, plz read this:
1. The ZPM eliminates any and all remaining matter, particles, light, gravity, magnetic waves and such from the space (excluding dark energy). 2. It creates a subspace field around (or in?) the vacuum. 3. The ZPM lowers the energy of the dark energy within the subspace field below its zero-point energy (I.E. its ground state) 4. Because of something physics related that would take 50 pages to describe, this completely devoid of anything pocket allows the ZPM to extract energy out of thin NOTHING. Yeah, it breaks the law of conservation. And it can do so indefinitely. "the existence and subsequent annihilation of these particles does not violate the conservation of energy" http://www.stargate-sg1-solutions.com/wiki/Zero_Point_Module_(ZPM)"Even though the zero-point energy is theoretically infinite, there is as yet no practical evidence to suggest that...zero-point energy can be used in violation of conservation of energy" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero-point_energy

I wonder what to? He will rename it "PROJECT SPACE BABY" Unlikely, as Shiva is a "she". Or at least refers to herself as one, so we do likewise, out of respect.

| Posting of new ships will be temporarily suspended due to construction of PROJECT ANVIL. Meanwhile, this project will be renamed to PROJECT HAMMER. We are sorry for the inconvenience. | |

"Even though the zero-point energy is theoretically infinite, there is as yet no practical evidence to suggest that...zero-point energy can be used in violation of conservation of energy" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero-point_energy FALSE. This complies with conservation of energy once the Hole theory (as it is commonly called) is expanded upon. What it basically states is that all matter exists in a sea of an infinite amount of electrons taking up an infinite number of negative energy states. This gives all matter and empty space an infinite negative charge that is equivalent by mass and volume and would cause a net repulsive force, ergo, "dark energy". When the visible matter is destroyed, these negative energy states would be released, and subsequently harvested by the ZPM in the form of positrons. Since ZPMs in SG-1 seem to have a crystalline structure, it is therefore possible for electrons gained from nearby matter collisions to be passed along the lattice and towards the subspace bubble, where they collide with the antiprotons to release the energy stored inside of them. This is all theoretical, of course, since my knowledge of Hole theory is limited and some of it is simply logical speculation on my part based on my experience as a Physics major. Ask me about any inconsistencies if you want, I will be more than happy to amend my post. Also note that this agrees with danice's quote from the SG-1 wiki and the 'fact' that an activated ZPM emits a fair amount of light. And I will admit that I don't know too much about Stargate fiction, either.
