Those little things that people take for granted

This thread includes:

Comm Device: A small device used to communicate with far away people or ships.

Mass Driver: A not-so-small magnetic accelerator that can be used to send slugs towards ships or modules to orbit.

Rifle: Do you really need to ask? 20 ammo/magazine.

APC: Transports d00dz from place to place.

Area 51: A place that does not exist.

I have made a APC of some sorts.

20? that's to low, 30 is more better.

Heck, even 30 is low. Most FPS have 50-60.

Really? I guess an AK-47 has 30, too, but all the FPS's I've played (all 3 of them...) gave 50-60 shots in a magazine, and the ability to carry 5 or so magazines.

I say 20 so the spray and pray method is restricted.

You can't burst fire in MC. So spray and pray is the only way to win.

Why no bursts?

Excuse me. I meant the spread will always be the same in minecraft guns so you can't really control recoil. Thus, your only option is to 'spray n' pray'

What about Flan's shotguns?

They don't have any recoil to begin with, they're shotguns. I haven't used that mod so I may be wrong, though. In any case I thought you were using laz0rs which have no recoil but limited ammo.

We need rapid-fire grenade launchers. I mean at a rate of several rounds per second. Why? Because we can use one to destroy an army.

But the other army will have them too!

According to Wikipedia, a normal box magazine stores up to 40 bullets, depending on its type.
also, the Steyr AUG can hold a 42-bullet mag., but I think that´s pretty much the limit if you don´t use a drum- or disk-magazine.

Which makes you wonder whether this rifle fires bullets or light. That's an important consideration.

Gama rays are photons, Beta emissions are hydrogen atoms, if memory serves. (Or are they a single proton?)

You know a really little thing that everyone takes for granted is? Gravity. I mean are we just going to ignore the weightlessness of space, I am fine with this, but I kinda wanted to have a gravity matrix or something on my ship. I also just wanted to float freely around a ship every now and again, Also the tactical advantages of a device that can manipulate gravity is BIG even if it just makes it so you can walk around a ship.

I would like to do zero G, too, but there are some serious technical complications with it, so I can't make any promises.
