I listen to nothing but Wagner, Metal, Martial-Ambient, Aggrotech and Martial-Industrial(mostly metal), but I just wear jeans and button down/flannel shirts. - MrTargareyan wrote:

I remember Greenday, I used to really like them. Try the offspring, they're probably the best punk rock around that I'm aware of.

| This is my second time typing this post. I didn't see her today outside of JROTC, though with all your talk of confidence I was strongly considering barreling her over when she sped across the front of the squad's formation while we were marching. But assault? Neeeeeeeeeeeh What I want to do tomorrow is sprint out of class once the bell rings to camp the shit out of a stairway I saw her going down a few days ago and execute a maneuver called 'asking a question' thereby initiating a tactical conversation. I really don't wanna type my exact plan again, but Ima try to steer the talking to her interests (she apparently likes computers) and then after school deploy a strategic friend request on FB assuming the operation didn't go up like fr0st's Pinto on christmas eve. We'll see how it goes Is 'what are you doing after school' something that can be asked as a closing question, or will that come off as creepy? | |

| That's creepy for a first conversation. Like, cripes, this owl is stalking me creepy. Just run into her in a way that forces you to converse. Not ambushing her on some stairs, but sitting near her at lunch(?). You could also try and get a squad member to do something shit-headed, and ask her if you can talk to her about complaints and begin off topic conversation. I don't know, stairway ambush could work, if you actually know her or are talking with her friend. You could also also say that you heard she was good with computers and ask for some advice, setting a precedent for communication.
That last ones actually pretty good.

Eww, no, 'Gamrr grrlz' are the worst, and it's bad enough that most men piss away their days playing cowadoody, no need to bring women into it.

That last ones actually pretty good. She has the lunch before mine (only explanation for her being in the library when we were checking out books), and I seeing as I haven't run into her thus far so this is probably the only opportunity. Well, technically she hangs out with another girl or two in front of the media center, but then you run into the whole proximity awkwardness multiplier thing again. I'm hoping that I can make it appear I just recognized her and swooped in for a chat on the stairs, the problem there would be a) somehow going offtopic when I'd be asking about the PFC stationary drill initially (just to find a common ground), and b) getting to my class on the second floor when I'm pretty sure she's going to the basement, and doing so in a manner that doesn't make it immediately obvious I only walked down four flights of stairs to talk to her. @ Above, probably not a gamer girl, no, but anyone who sees technology as something other than what goes in their iPhone 78S PREMIUM EDISHUN is someone I can get along with.

| One bit of advice, and somebody has probably already said this, but I can't be asked to trawl through and I should probably emphasise it:
Don't end up stalking her, and don't let her think you are.
Excellent help I know | |

| Platoon leader is a CO, an officer. She's the platoon's sergeant.
But outside of JROTC, no.

Hey baby how much ram you have? I have 16 gigs at 1333 megahertz. Did I mention my heart megahertz? Because it does. I need to get a surge protector because pretty soon I am gonna have a power outage. I'd like to stick my ram in your motherboard, as long as it is LGA 1155.

| Worked for me.
But for realsies, talk to people like you have known them forever even if you have just met them. That is usually pretty successful.
