| There seem to be threads for all the other Empire/corporations/government/other groups; but none for the official Futurecraft Empire (which I have named the Alteran Empire) itself. I would people to contribute ideas to how the Empire is run/what is in it (providing back-story for the various planets, people, etc.)
Alteran Empire:
Brief back-story: One of the five elder races, the Alterans are wanders. Ever since they abandoned their home galaxy millions of years ago, they have been searching for a place to call home, until they came to a galaxy rich in primitive life: what we call the Milky Way. Throughout countless galaxies they have sowed the seeds of civilization, including in the Milky Way. They have a strict policy of non-interference once a civilization of their creation is stable, unless another elder race threatens.
Government type: Autocratic. Ruler-for-life elected by and from the governing council. The council deliberates on matters and the Emperor has the final veto unless all council members appose him/her/it.
Fleet description: The Alterans in the Milky Way command a fleet consisting of one city ship with its escort battleship, along with several dozen smaller vessels (for intra-galactic travel), as well as several timeships. Their advanced matter-displacement systems allow them to transport themselves or objects across vast distances, eliminating most of the needs for conventional space travel.
Technology: Their technological prowess is unmatched by any other race (excluding the four other elder races). As such, they are relatively stalled in their development, with no need to continue especially regarding military technologies. What they are still interested in is finding spiritual, mental, and physical perfection, whether it be through meditation, meta-cognition, biological enhancement, and the adherence to moral guidelines.
Domain: They don't have any specific residence within the Milky Way galaxy, but they will settle on a planet and consume all valuable resources as needed. They will do their best to leave a minimum impact, but signs of their presence are visible to those who look...
Much mythology surrounds the Alterans: cultures across the galaxy speak of god-like beings who visited their worlds long ago, beings who taught cultures to farm, to hunt, to prosper. Some still worship them as gods.

| I don't think the Alteran Empire is in the RP.
Also, if it's called the Alteran Empire than just call it that, dammit. Not the 'official futurecraft empire', I won't repeat the host of reasons that tagging lacks sense.

| Well... also, slight Micheal Marrak reference? (his novel Morphogenesis features a race with a history quite similar to yours) | |

| Oh no.
Listen, I'm not playing an empire. Im playing a Paradox. For now at least. Would you scream to something massive and destroying everything that it is overpowered, and it magically shrinks?
Last Jedi Standing is in a galaxy FAR FAR away. He cannot interact with the main cluster.
Mackeroth is certainly overpowered. Matter Transporter needs to be very energy-costly, leaves you vulnerable. Technology cannot be unmatchable, unless this civilization has existed MUCH longer than the Old Republic has lasted. Im sorry to say these things, but people are overreacting.

| We've discussed this before.
The Alteran Empire is the guiding force of the galaxy. It, as the moderators and officials of Futurecraft, is designed to keep the mod running smoothly. It is a more fun way of dealing with stupidity and rule breaking.

| Logging in hidden doesn't really work, you still show up on 'Who's Online?', except as a number instead of a name, which is much less dignified. Why would you do that to yourself!? | |

Who are you talking to? This is one of those situations in which context is helpful.

| which leads us to the conclusion that... we either got that strange culture which has been called gods by the pre-ancient people (those who were called ancients by the ones we call ancients now) or there is something wrong here. | |

Letting people run the Galaxy themselves is destructive and will cause much grief. Remember the Alteran Empire is non-interfering, it won't do things just for the fun of it.
