There used to be thread for this, I believe, but it died and got locked up.
Post stuff about movies, good or bad. Hell, post your favourites while you're here.
Spoiler:
Personally, I'd have to say The Breakfast Club. Juhn Hughes did a ***king amazing job on that.

The Avengers is a really good movie. So are the Iron Man movies, or at least the 1st and 2nd, haven't seen the third yet. Another good movie is Super 8, I really recommend watching it. And then, of course, there's Casino Royal, the only James Bond movie I've ever watched.
Now for bad movies, I would say Battleship and Cowboys & Aliens. Avoid these ones. They are bad.

I think I made the original movie thread, or at least I posted in it. Anyway, I recently saw The Africa Queen, that was really good. And I'll always love the first two Terminator movies.

District 9, pretty much purely for the mech scene.

I kind of wish they didn't pad the script by saying 'fuck' every 3 seconds, but that was a pretty good movie.

You have to do that or it won't become a cult classic. Prove me wrong.

I haven't seen Battleship, but I actually enjoyed Cowboys & Aliens. It wasn't at all what I was expecting, but it was an interesting movie, and those flyer-thing-whip-whatchamacallits were awesome.

I´ve seen Battleship and the predictable storyline/boardgame references/unrealistic tactics were made up for me by the awesome action scenes. Tough that might be influenced by me being fascinated by basically everything Alien invasion.

I think the accent pretty much made up for that.
I only actually watched it because of the accent.

Elysium was well animated, but the plot was really weird and the ending didn't make a ton of sense.
Actual spoilers inside:
Why did they even have all those medical shuttles just ready to go if everyone who needed medical attention was already on Elysium? And how did the computer immediately know the names of everyone on Earth once they told it to make them citizens? I did like that they left the hero dead, though. That's not something you see a lot these days. They pretty much always get resurrected or something. It was especially surprising in a movie that had already brought the villain back from the dead.

Would anyone else like to see a Dark Tower movie series?
I mean it could never do the books justice, but it would still be awesome.

I HEARD they were going to make a Dark Tower movie, but it got stuck in development hell and had horrible actors. Let's hope that doesn't come to completion.
But if they can make a Dark Tower movie as well as they did The Shining, then maybe.

We censor out those parts, and instead portray the Librarian- Valyrian 5000 year war. Plenty of explosions.
