Oh yeah I actually liked that one, the incessant F bombs got annoying though.

Yes but the funny accent and kick ass fight scene with the prawn mech makes up for that

i have never seen red tails, but heard that it made the Tuskegee airmen look stupid. They also did not encounter that much combat or start rapping or whateverl stuff they did in the movie. They were only fighter escorts for bombers.

Original or american hollywood-mode remake?
There's two movies? Well probably the hollywood remake then.
I am honestly afraid, for the sake of the part of the movie community that actually tries to make good, artistic movies with a message, that bullshit hollywood remakes are going to be more popular and years from now when people think of movies like Girl with the Dragon Tatoo, they'll remember the hollywood remake, not the original.
The authors and their original work will be buried and forgotten in history in favor of some copied thing with more sex and explosions.
Basically the same thing that happens when people say "zomg the beatles copied justin bieber's song / hair / whatever"

They mostly did fly bomber escort. But in one mission they flew ground support for a sea landing so...

The original Girl with the Dragon Tatoo was really boring, though. It needs all the explosions and sex it can get.

Watching the remastered edition of The Bridge on the River Kwai. Excellent movie. Surprised there isn't a remake, but I guess it's for the best such a masterpiece isn't overloaded with useless FX. Simplicity for the win

A couple of years ago, I picked up a BBC broadcast from a listening station near the Isle of Man. It was a movie, called Reign of Fire. I kinda liked it.
