Tiel stared at the readout cautiously.

"There, right around quadrant X-41. We're seeing a huge buildup of FTL signatures lighting up in the general area."

Indeed, the room spanning control panel did reflect the reading. Dozens of yellow dots blinked in unison, each slowly receding into different corners of that particular grid.

The sensors officer stood. "Could be a trade convoy. Or brigands. Their IDs aren't matching up with the database."

"Then it warrants investigation either way." His beak curled into something of a confident grimace.

"Aye-aye."

Deep in space, the battlecruiser's engines flared up cleanly, with each of its three escorting frigates engaging their own drives in turn after 8 years of inactivity.

The flotilla then vanished into the void, en route to the unknown.

(Sensors) Sir owls are following!
(Jack) Dammit!Alright Temp. Peace while we deal with the owls ok?
Get ready to fire those Weapons as soon as the owls come out of FTL.That goes for you both.
(Wep.) Yes sir.

Error's 2iC just nodded.

Suddenly, 4 red blips made their presence known on the interface.

"Lieutenant, what do the sensors say about those incoming ship's power levels?"

"Striigiforme, sir."

Tiel whipped around.

"The hell are they?"

The other glanced down at his panel.

"Database says they're a little known avian empire off in the rim. There is no reason for them to be here."

Tiel scratched the flesh below his beak. "There must be something of importance on one of those vessels."

"If I might add, sir, they're broadcasting a transponder asserting all 'meddlers' will be considered criminals to the Striigiforme Authority."

"Nothing we haven't heard before. Disperse the fleet on intercept vectors to those splitting off from the main group. We shall engage these," he gestured pointedly at a cluster of signals retreating into the rightmost corner of the quadrant. "craft here. It's most likely they have what Striigiforme's after."

In the meantime I want the battlecruisers to initiate a micro jump to keep those OS ships from disengaging; our shields should be more than capable of withstanding anything those scrap heaps can put out.". The battlecruisers broke off, disappearing into subspace only to appear cutting off the OS escape route in perfect battle formation.

"Let's try to take some heat off the good guys here. Target the whoever locks on to the Ragnarov and fire all weapons."

OOC: I'll be back in a couple hours. Fenway, feel free to proxy provided it doesn't get my ships destroyed . just keep in mind I only use Plasma (even in my gun batteries) and accelerators.

OOC: Its fine. As for the eldar-human mix. Weren't the eldar space elfs which then already makes them pretty human like?

The kikiwi emerge from another place, hoping to not be ingaged in a battle the moment they exit. as luck had it, they ended up right in between some strigforme ships and some other ships that time did not allow analisis. they prepared defensive operations, and set a mine that would explode if all ships were destroyed. due to strigiforme's avian apearence, they contcted them first, hopeing for someone to side with.

The AI noticed that Fenway and Ash had been recovered by the Aurora, and it's mission was to recover them at all costs. Yet, it also could not attack the Commonwealth due to IFF and diplomatic restrictions, so it formulated another plan.

On the side, a massive hanger door opened. Several blocks of the ship slid to new positions to allow the Aurora space inside it. Then, it fired 12 coupling hooks at the Aurora. They quickly welded to the hull with 10,000 volts of electricity, just as the ship jumped. The massive ship was unwittingly pulled along the Aurora's path, then disconnected halfway there. But there was an advantage. It had locked onto Fenway's AI.


Inside the ship, Fenway's AI had connected to the ship's briefly, and communicated all of it's data at once. The AI knew the ship was friendly, and intended to tell Fenway quickly. To aid the ship, it began sending out a small location signal that broadcast its location.

"Ensign" Whispered the Commander of the frigate division "Who's the ugly thing in my viewer?"

"That's a representative of some foreign empire, sir." The Ensugn rolled his eyes at the Commanders idiocracy. He didn't know why the Fleetmaster didn't come with them.

"Open fire!"

"But sir! We kno-"

"FIRE! OR FACE PUNISHMENT!"

"Yes sir."

"I'm going to be very dead if I live this. The council will make a knitting from my feathers..." Thought the Ensign.

Avenger was still in shock about the massive warship that had jumped into the system when a small energy blast impacted on the Stormfury's shields.

"Who fired that shot?"

"One of the striigiforme ships."

"Damn avians. Target that little fleet and fire everything. Let's finish this and get over to help addeptis."

"Right away, sir."

The dreadnought unleashed a massive torrent of emerald fire on the striigiforme vessels. To the scanning officers, it read as a small star moving towards them at incredible speed. And then another. And another.

OOC: ACH, given that you aren't present I'll assume you're ok with bad things happening?

O.M.I.C. Finishes its construction of the planet sized starship, now officially known as ARK-1, with the ship contained within the shields that were set up to contain the reactor core explosion, the region of space no longer holds anything dengerous, well, nothing dangerous to O.M.I.C.

The shields are deactivated, and O.M.I.C. puts itself into every computer, every little bit of storage in the planet sized ship.

O.M.I.C.s intelligent capacity is multiplied vastly, by more than ten thousand times.

With its new found capacity, O.M.I.C. Immediately detects a heavily cloaked vessel of unknown origin closing in on ARC-19, the small asteroid from where the cybernetic collective's mining operations are controlled.

The ship is scanned, and O.M.I.C. Immediately recognises the ship.


The ship is striigiforme.

Remembering the battle O.M.I.C. nearly had with a striigiforme fleet, O.M.I.C. Decides to destroy the ship, as a warning.


The striigiforme vessel was spacedust before they even knew they had been detected.

My new faction will probably coincide with my new ships, built using Tekkit. I'm going to get started on those, so I should have a few soon. Maybe.

Error stared at Fenway. "He'll be ok?"
The medtech looked insulted. "Only 30 seconds of vaccuum? Sir, CW med technology can cure that, no prob-"
"I get it. Call me when he wakes up."

Markys glared at the screen. "Raise shields. Power phasers, ion cannons, and shields. Drop us out of FTL in the Verge system."
The helmsman and tactical officer nodded.


Elsewhere:
Pegasus and a full battlegroup exited FTl in orbit of the gas giant Freehold. The fleet oriented inself towards Aurora and launched fighters.

(Sensor) Well it looks like the CW are not holding up their end of the Deal.
(Jack) Charge the FTL Just in case,and where's the Ram?
(Comm.) 5 min. out sir.
(Jack) They Better be.

OOC: The Acera is a dreadnought with 2 functions,Raming and blowing it self up via overloading the core.
The whole crew dies but they become heros in our books and it takes a whole and maybe two planet[s] of stuff.

No, it means his dread isn't manuverable neough to hit them.

Once that Ram goes BOOM maneuverability doesn't matter. Your hulls simply couldn't take the blast Jack's dreadnought probably can.

The kikiwi retreat, taking heavy losses from strigiforme's fire. they leave one finall message to the fleet.

"You WILL die. We have many more ships than this. We will return, and we will order YOUR head, ensign, or there will be great bloodshed between us."

As the Kikiwi exit through the warp point, the bombs surrounding the warp point explode, sending shrapnel flying towards both sides of the encounter.

OOC: the knowlage of the ensign is simply an enegy field designed to spy on all energy sources.

Aurora drops out of FTl on top of the 12th. The fleet scatters, and orients itself on Pegasus' targeting data.

OOC: So it this where all the factions show up and duke it out?

Research ships move in on the wreckage of the recently destroyed striigiforme vessel.

Scanning reveals that the ship was unmanned, old and non-functional, quite probably a victim of the time dilation.

O.M.I.C. decides that the ships presence was irrelevant to matters, but pretty good for target practice.
