| Hello, and welcome to the Rogue Trader Alliance. The manufactorums here are dedicated to bringing you a wide variety of ships and land craft for every purpose imaginable. The wide variety of vehicles here allow you to make all of your purchases here, at Rogue Trader Alliance. Dominus Astra Warfrigate - Spoiler:
The Dominus Astra is a heavily modified P-5 civilian liner, with extra fuel, supplies, and weapons capacity. It is mainly designed for transporting goods, salvaging hulks, and outrunning larger ships, but has a surprising amount of firepower for its size. The ship of the founder of the RTA, it is very powerful for its size, allowing it to surprise enemy capital ships in an engagement. It was originally modified purely for trading, but as the Empire started to decline, it was changed to include a few small laser weapons to drive off an attacking pinnace or fighter. As the Empire's patrols became less and less frequent, they were forced to upgrade its weapons and shields further and further, until it became more than a match for most other frigate-sized ships, and could give a light cruiser a run for its money. It has even been modified to carry 3 fighters, which can be launched, and then docked after their mission or patrol. Warships Barracuda Class Heavy Cruiser - Spoiler:
The Barracuda class heavy cruiser is the Rogue Trader Alliance's first true capital ship, and it is a very powerful, and expensive, capital ship. It is used by many fleets as their flagship, but was originally designed for a much different job, destroying enemy heavy cruisers and dreadnoughts. The RTA created the Barracuda in response to losing multiple convoys of transports to unknown causes. When a squadron of Dolphin class corvettes were sent to investigate, they found that a small Imperial fleet, based around a squadron of 6 old Subjugation class heavy cruisers. Further rumors of more of these monsters were floating around, so the RTA created the Barracuda to attack and destroy the enemy Subjugations. The RTA produced 3 Barracudas at first, that went with a large convoy of transports and escort craft. In an asteroid belt on the edge of the Noctis system, they were attacked by the Imperials. The Subjugation class of heavy cruiser is not well suited to ambush, as its heavy armor gives off a large radar signal, so the first attacking ships were the smaller escort frigates and corvettes. The convoy's own escorts were sent to destroy them, resulting in a long, drawn out fight which resulted in the loss of 3 Dolphins, and a single frigate, but complete annihilation of the enemy. The 3 Barracudas were left to defend the convoy alone. The first warning they had of the incoming Subjugations was a massive blob on the scanners. Then the 6 heavy cruisers came into viewing range, and the Barracudas started to pull around to bring their massive broadside cannon into use. Each ship had a total of 8 turrets, 4 on each side, each with 2 MK 12 Ballistic Shipkillers. These cannons were somewhat dated, but nothing else has the sheer destructive power of the MK 12. With 8 of these cannons on each side, not many ships have more firepower than a Barracuda. This fact was brutally shown in the engagement versus the Subjugations. Their heavy armor made the even more susceptible to the huge shells, and the Barracudas destroyed 5 of the Subjugations in as many minutes, and the last one was destroyed after a chase through the asteroid belt. The Barracuda class had made quite an entrance, another factor in many fleet commanders using it as their flagship. Front View MK 12 Ballistic Cannons Engines Bridge View Prow Cannons
Manta Class Destroyer - Spoiler:
When the RTA was still a fledgling company, a group known as Culuxis Consortium started trying to gain power by destroying any trade companies that wouldn't agree to exist under their rule. Many companies refused, including the RTA, and another, smaller company known as the Delfentine Trade Company, or DTC. The Culuxis Consortium promptly attacked, and destroyed the DTC's home planet with their new dreadnought, the Planet Crusher. This dreadnought was armed with a huge microwave cannon in the prow, which, when fired at a planet, would boil its seas and melt the insides of any living thing on it. Needless to say, it wasn't pretty when it was fired at a ship either. The RTA leaders looked around at their ragtag collection of modified passenger liners and corvettes, and started drawing up plans for the Manta class destroyer. The Manta is unique amongst RTA ships because of its massive laser assemblies, and its odd horseshoe shape. This design quirk allowed the Manta to be armed with four MK 8 laser assemblies, two in the prow of each prong. The MK 8 was the newest in RTA laser technology, a super-high power laser assembly designed for destroying the larger classes of ships such as cruisers and dreadnoughts. The firepower of the Manta class was demonstrated in the battle against the Culuxis Consortium, and their huge dreadnought, the Planet Crusher. Dolphin Class Corvette - Spoiler:
The Dolphin class corvette was designed by the RTA when they started losing a number of transport convoys to bands of pirates that had managed to get ships that seriously outclassed the SD-3, the widely used escort at the time. The RTA leaders commissioned a new type of ship that would outgun and be able to outrun almost all other corvettes and frigates currently in widespread use. The RTA designers invented a new kind of engine to meet this demand, which was subsequently used on ships like the Barracuda and Tigershark. This new engine allowed much greater speeds than what was previously possible, and was one of the major factors in the class's success. When the new Dolphins were sent to defend the all-important trade convoys, reports were received from almost every convoy that any pirates that had ambushed the convoys had been completely annihilated. The Dolphin class corvette was a complete success, and continues to server in the RTA battlefleets. Front View Side View Top View E-28 Engine MK 4 Laser cannons
SD-3 Gunboat - Spoiler:
The SD-3 Gunboat was one of the first mass-produced ships designed by the Rogue Trader Alliance, and has proven itself a thoroughly reliable design, though now it is considered somewhat obsolete and undergunned, surpassed by models like the Dolphin class corvette. One of the most remarkable battles containing SD-3s was the battle against the Culuxis Consortium, when they moved to attack the RTA's main base. When the CC fleet entered the fringes of the RTA’s system, squadrons of SD-3s were sent to harass and delay the incoming Culuxis fleet, and in the final battle, the SD-3 squadrons were sent to destroy the enemy corvettes, which there were many of, and destroyed 23, for a loss of 4 SD-3s, a striking testimony to the skill of the pilots, and the reliability of the SD-3. The end of the war against the Culuxis Consortium came when a squadron of Mantas penetrated the CC battleline and completely destroyed the Planet Crusher. As all of the CC leaders were onboard, they had effectively cut the head off the Culuxis Consortium, and the few remaining ships were promptly destroyed. Front View Side View Engines
Small Craft - Spoiler:
F-39 Fury The Fury is an effective and cheap heavy fighter that has enough firepower to take out a dropship, but still retains enough maneuverability to hold its own against many smaller, and there for more maneuverable fighters. Front View Side View Rear View ST-7 Shuttle The ST-7 is an all-purpose shuttle that can carry 1 fireteam, or a diplomatic emissary in style. It has no weapons, to allow for extra transport space as well as allowing it to serve as a diplomatic craft. Its strong repulsors allow it to have no wings and still stay aloft. Front View Side View Rear View R-12 Repulsors D-9 Manatee Dropship The Manatee is a large, lumbering dropship that can carry down 1 M-12 tank or 1 M-6 APC. It has enough armor to withstand light impacts, and a very large cargo door to allow quick deployment. Front View Side View Rear View D-12 Heavy Dropship The D-12 is a heavier dropship designed to carry 3 APC's at a time, triple the capacity of the D-9. It can be modified to carry MBT's, but usually MBT's are transported by the D-9s. Front View Side View Repulsors Cargo Bay
Rogue Trader Alliance standard fleet asset organization: Armada: 3 Warfleets Warfleet: 3 fleets Fleet: 1 Barracuda class heavy cruiser, 2 Tigershark class frigates, 4 Dolphin class corvettes.

| It just needs to be longer, and have more details on the top so it doesn't look so flat. | |

| Too bland? Too tall? everything is a detail, one detail of a ship is its height, and its width, and length, all details. I was talking about big details like that, not small details which are often associated with the word.

| How you cut your ships off at the back on the end makes them look bad. If you put big engines on the side, they would look better. They are really nice ships, but they need something in the back. | |

| I liked your private ship from the top, but the bottom is lacking... everything. Make it more varied, then see how it looks.
Certainly good ships for a first-timer, you show potential.

I considered making them symmetrical on both ends, but that makes it look like the Titanic. Everybody knows what happened to the Titanic.

| I haven't been working on this recently because I have had some stuff I've had to build something in MC for an event, and it feels like a really big project, and if I have something to do that feels really big, I procrastinate a ton. See you next week (hopefully). | |
