You guys might have a problem

as shiva said earlier notch was working on the next space faring game. except now it seems like he just read the futurecraft site and said screw that ill do this instead. here is the site for it http://0x10c.com/

Essentially it's Futurecraft, but possibly with more progress and faster. So, if this comes out first, than I don't think too many people would bother playing FC given how many Notch groupies there are from the Beta days :/

Hopefully he won't show any progress until the summer. It's Notch, so entirely possible.

From what I can tell, it's not going to be a building game in the same way Minecraft is. We have nothing to worry about.

It's going to be an MMO, so a subscription is pretty much par for the course. Heck, we might introduce something like that ourselves if the upkeep costs get too high.

1. Have fun finding his email or, to that end, knowing that he actually sees it.

2. You can't patent something like this, especially given its an offshoot of a game by Mojang in which case they're well within their legal rights to copy this, or even send it a Cease & Desist notice if their game doesn't sell well because of Futurecraft.
