| Only if there are uninhabitable planets first, I don't want people making worlds like the world makers in hitchhikers guide to the galaxy >_> | |

| Why not? If I want to make my world a barren desert, who can say no? I have a giant fleet firing heat and greenhouse gasses at it, should cause global warming, right? | |

That would not be fun to code.

That would not be fun to code. trollface but really there should be a way to say turn a swamp into a jungle biome or a forest into plains and then into a desert. or to restore the area closer to its original state after an orbital bombardment. so there isnt just stone fire and a giant crater there.

| I REALLY like the idea of getting ore dust from useless cobblestone, it will make it into something more than just a construction block and more a resource you think a bit more of so you dont just incinerate it all the time, though instead of making it dusts how about you get blocks of minerals? itll take longer sure but you wont need to do as much crafting to get your shiny iron blocks or diamond blocks making storage easier as they are already in the most compact form?
And perhaps add stairs and slabs of ship hull building materials? Example = iron stairs and iron slabs? For those people who like to do smooth ship bodies?

Hello, I had come across this mod this week, and it amazes me how much work has gone into this. Revolutionizing zepplin mod, dozens of models, and entirely new things never done before, such as custom UI's. This mod is quite amazing, and I hope for its success.
What puzzles me though is the general lack of discussion in regards to space stations. There have been several station designs, but not much talk on the 'concept' of space stations. I presume it would be as simple as a ship sans-propulsion. However, what would be the statistical differences between a station and a ship? My thought on it is that it would have more weapons slots and can accept higher-capacity fuel earlier than its similarly sized ship counterparts. What does the forum public think?

| You'll have to look reaaaly far back to see much discussion about space stations. Unlike ships, space stations are immobile and will have cached rendering like planets. Unlike planets, space stations will be powered by cores similar to ships but on a different scale.
It will be possible to weaponize a station, and it will be possible to own real estate on the station. The specifics of this process have not been discussed in any amount of detail, but will probably be something server owners can set up via lua scripting.

Does it bother any of you that I am a giant fire breathing owl that rules over a planetary nation in a universe alternate to yours?

Just sad. I'm a dragon, so... Anyway, my solution to stations is just take out engines. No extra work.

I created TechneFedoraOwl. And with my solution, you can have more guns because you need no engines, thus more slots. Engines should take at least a third of the slots.

| I find it nice that I have reignited this thread with a dozen or so posts, even if many are not quite relevant.
Anyways, another thing that hasn't been developed on this forum is the idea of repair drones (There was one idea thread about it a few months ago). I did not see such a device on the overview thread. Repair Drones should be separate entities from its respective ship (similar to fighters), and would go about repairing broken blocks of the ship, restoring vehicle points to the ship in the process. Repair drones would only restore blocks that were part of the ship prior to the destruction of the respective blocks, and would (possibly) require new blocks to repair the destroyed ones. What does the forum think?

What does the forum think? How have we forgotten this for so long? Thank you for the idea. Many sci-fi series have them, they repair the hull normally. So would they actually scamper around on the hull and heal blocks? Or just scamper around and the hull is repaired? Here's an interesting idea. What if a type of "weapon" was a healybeam, similar to a medivac. Then drop-ships could be equipped with one. There would be two types, a Bio-healybeam and a Mecha-Healybeam. When shot at a human, the bio one will heal and the mecha would do nothing. The inverse is true for mecha-beams. Fighters or ships could be equipped with them, so then a repair drone could be a turret on a ship or a fighter that has a mecha-healybeam on it. Anyway, we need some way to heal the ships and people, I like where this idea is heading.
