How smart do you want the drone to be? Do you want it to just fly towards the core, destroying 3 blocks, and then going boom or do you want it to calculate the weakest point in the ships hull?

I tend to find that the hull is the same thickness all the way through. Except maybe for the docking bay, where drones could blast through the doors easier.
