Fen and Tiel's Starbound Server

PvP opens up for friendly fire though so IDK..

Especially since Des has all those OP weapons, like the 4444 DPS hammer...

And by the way, friendly fire is active within groups. I'm thinking more of the scenario when someone snaps and takes all the stuff on your ship with you watching... Will happen one day, I'm telling you.

Basically there's a memory leak that's causing the server to shut itself down upon exceeding the max allocation

Which means it needs to be restarted periodically no matter how much RAM you have. I set up a cronjob to do that but I'm not entirely sure whether that just does it for minecraft or the entire vps.

So... Can you make it periodically restart, then? Like, every 4 or 6 hours, just to be sure?

Evidently not. The provider is primarily for MC, so the CP isn't all that fleshed out for products other than it (hence why Fen couldn't update earlier). If this keeps happening I guess it's just not sustainable to host it on the VPS and Fenway can go back to doing it off of his PC (as I said earlier with the leak we'd be getting around the same uptime).

In case that happens, will we keep the files or are we going to start over with a fresh universe?

I have, it lagged a bit for me as well, but only on 2x zoom. 3x and 4x have worked smooth, more or less.

You should probably also delete the universe-folder so it can generate a new one, as there were changes to planet generation made this time. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Well, crap. Expect hotfixes as there are considerable amounts of bugs on this one. Still, I guess the new stuff was still worth it, hehe...
