Jokes in AVATAR

Oh I wish I had a consistent way of watching legend of korra.

Just torrent it.

Also this is now LoK discussion thread. I was a little let down by the first season. I thought they were making Amon into a Malcolm X type character, heart in the right place but way too militant. And he had some seriously valid points about equality that were completely glossed over in favor or more screentime for sports and love triangles. I'm glad they put some more thought into season 2.

Oh avatar ... that thing went like ages ago on TV (Well ages ... I think up until 2008 ? ), in fact had a better plot line than modern adult reality shows , you better go watch that instead of these abominations, should be a good ride regardless of your age.

What truly made it stand out from other western cartoons or eastern Anime is that it combined both doctrines in it, taking only the best of all worlds. To be honest it is neither an anime nor a western cartoon, it really didn’t give a damn about it's classification and let itself go wild and that exactly waht made it so good.I kinda heard it got a sequel but I never got to seeing it, I guess I should finally figure myself how would this world do with air bending basically being extinct (Couse yea the first one is called last airbender for a reason) and I doubt one person is capable of repopulating the world with these .

I don't watch TV unless it's a documentary or a movie or something, and my main complaint is that the characters are ridiculous and annoying.

In the last episode they left us with such big cliff hanger and now I can't wait another week!

Air bending in the Legend of Korra is passed down by Aang´s son,Tenzin.
The Air benders are not extinct,because tenzing has 1 son and 2 daughters,so the legacy was passed on.

Well genetically speaking a society formed from one pair of people will die out in a few generations. I forgot how many pairs you need to sustain a society (That is in isolated conditions which probably is the situe unless someone from outside plans on learning air bending) but that is more than 10.

Also an interesting note - if the air benders all pass out (or if lets say we go murder them ) you can easily get rid of the avatar too, if you have the years to spare. Eventually it will be an air bender's turn to be the avatar, however there are no air benders left and so there is simply no one to be that avatar. BEST VILLAIN PLAN EVA !

Thats exactly the plan of the Fire nation commiting genocide against the air nomads.

But the Avatar is the bridge between the spiritual and the physical world,he is the Avatar [Representation] of the world as a whole. If the air nomads die,the cycle would not be broken because in the age of the first avatar,there were no nations or social divisions.

Well they rather didnt know who IS the new avatar so they decided to kill all of them amd hope the avatar is among them, well didnt happen , you know the rest of the story ...

Well it won't cost you and it's not a lifelong decision (compared to deciding the same for MLP ) and the reception is overall positive so why not give it a try ?
