Jedi, I understand your frustration. Remember, though most people hate the authority figure who enforces laws, they're better and more important than those who don't. Despite some people disliking the rules, most people know how important they are; they just ignore that.

I dont think they even ignore that, it feels all exaggerated for me, I think everyone knows well that you have to enforce order here and it is natural that violators won't be happy with your decision.

Interestingly enough, later on he was very frustrated about him getting awarded points while other people doing what he did got away scot-free. Sound similar to anything I've whined about? Anyway, I'd be in favor of him just abandoning ship on the moderator position like he said he'd do, if only to show him a lack of powers won't make the forum suddenly devolve into chaos.

I'll give you one thing, Tiel:
I have not yet noticed any influence on the activity/nature of posts/topics by moderation other than threads being locked.
