So, what's been happening these past few months? I sort of forgot all about Futurecraft in favor of being a brooding teenager. But I realized that you guys are awesome, and need my words of arrogance and wisdom around the place.

Site's still down, bet frost forgot about it, though it redirects to this one now ...

Some RPs, CMA is back though I think you know that already, yet another build almost nobody in the community gives a damn about and prob would be glad to have you on board and don't forget to queue your sacrifices for Frost in his worship thread ... in other words everything as usual .

Anyway, Jedi went full Snowden, CMA was apparently at 4chan and came back, Iv is Iv, Fenway is Fenway, hyperlite only comes on occasionally, and fr0st is making progress in the way of attempting to make far-off terrain (say, from space) feasible by way of shader trickery. Oh, and Vinyl's drawing boobs. Very, very saggy boobs. Targ is making an adventure map, Ivan's doing whatever Ivan does when he's not posting in the RP section, Solar is trying to make a competing RP to Fenway's current 'Strigiforme War', and ACH is doing nothing but posting in the aforementioned roleplay once and a while.

No, I know what he means. Surely you heard about Edward Snowden in Australia? That was pretty big news. He leaked a bunch of classified NSA stuff to the general public and fled to Russia. I think he's still living in an airport there, but I'm not certain. The question is what I've done that Tiel's referring to here. I don't think any of the recent events have involved me leaking stuff, unless he's still on about me posting logs of him incriminating himself over Hamachi.

You are actually quite the opposite of him, that guy broke every single rule and security protocol while you're enforcing the rules (or at least supposed to)

Jedi revealed what he thought to be wrong even if it meant betraying the trust and confidentiality vested in him.

Snowden did the same thing. I hold the utmost respect for him as he stood to gain nothing from making the moral choice, and it's only recently I've made the comparison to Jedi and grudgingly extended my admiration for his behavior to his actions.

Probably not. You are attempting to describe me as a security leak, which is utterly preposterous - in our particular analogy it would be like the president of the US going out and saying out of the blue that yes, he is spying on you. Obviously that's not the case when applied to the scenario in question - there is quite a difference between a security breach and a security leak. The former can be perpetrated by anyone and merely regards to invasion of anyone's security, whereas the second directly implies that someone high up is actively releasing sensitive information. I understand that there is probably a language barrier at work here, but nonetheless I cannot help but be three parts confused, amused, and offended at your assertions.

You don´t leak any information, because you´re not supposed to have it.
You just use the sledgehammer on the save with the information, so it´s a breach.

BTW did you know that the US president ACTUALLY did go out and say "we spy on you ?" Dunno why the press woke up right now, probably because they need some story to blow up but most of the s*** Snowden revealed was pretty much already common knowledge or at least was supposed to be one ...

In a nutshell, for the sake of anyone who wasn't there during the incident, I misused my admin powers to look at Luna's PMs and post the URL of a 'conspiracy' forum run by several members of the community (led by Ivan2006) that rubbed me the wrong way. This was followed by Jedi calling it out first on the thread (as I had told him I had done such over Hamachi chat), and then in several topics in the judicial section that I deleted. We then argued about it on the public chat for close to about two hours.

Random people popped in here and there, such as ACH, even relatively new people like Saravanth and Phalanx popped in and took a side without knowing the full extent of the issue. Fenway later came on and used the opportunity to take a couple of potshots. I maintained (and still do) that the chatbox argument was for the purposes of observing a heated debate similar to one in a short story I wanted to write. I've been unable to return to it, though, following the climactic finale of the argument wherein Jedi said some rather deep-cutting things. The alternative explanation is that I decided to 'cover it up' by deleting every topic Jedi made about the issue but for some reason still leaving his original post in the FASCist thread intact.

Whichever you choose to believe doesn't make a groundbreaking difference to me; I left the forum for a brief period of time and have since learned to view this place as a source of entertainment rather than an end-all, be-all for social interaction. A conclusion I'm happy to have learned.

Well I dunno if it is a common knowladge HERE I would have expected it to be in the US too, as a matter of fact it was so common knowledge you can see clear references to ECHELON project in Deus Ex which as you know was made back in 2000, it even has a page in wikipedia ...

Also no matter who was right in there it is a clear fact you abused your powers there by not ony breaking into PMs but also deleting posts and actually banning ppl to cover after you ...

Don't believe me you can replay Deus Ex or go to the wiki page of either that project or Deus Ex itself (Just to let you know ECHELON project is a world-wide intel collecting network that basically snuffs around the net for useful stuff, pretty much spying after you or any target they want to with intercepting stations across the globe )
