The Darkstar Corporation is a enterprise created at [CLASSIFIED] to bring to the normal citizen services sometimes only offered to the "elite". Itself it is not a governamental organization but is widely recognized as a galactic power and in has interfered in the galactic history many times since his creation. Many opinions are into the corporation back,sometimes being  accused of terrorism and black flag operations but none of that was proven,very often being looked upon for help by his people. The main head of the organization is the C.E.O,someone that not even the most inner cicle of the corporation know. Many think that is a idea,a image,being the "avatar" of a group of leaders to control the corporation,but not of that has past the speculation.


MILITARY

The military is centered around the concepts of stealth and speed, preferring outmaneuvering their enemies, hit-and-run attacks, guerrilla tactics and subterfuge.

The armoury  consists primarily of lightly armoured, fast vehicles with average firepower, which can outmaneuver and flank the opponent. Long-range weaponry is also prevalent, including the surface-to-surface missile launchers or large caliber artillery designed to deliver immense amounts of punishment to the opponent without exposing themselves.

Regarding space conflicts,the leading technology is the stealth. While the Darkstar fleets cannot withstand prolonged combat with heavier fleets,they have a secret device: The Singularity generator. The Darkstar military invest in technology other than heavy numbers,usually being comprised of state-of-art vessels with tremendous firepower

In various ways, the corporation has always been technologically superior. It is not fully known how was achieved such a state of unique technological superiority, though it is often linked to their access to and study of allegedly alien technology, and their monopoly on some resources, which provided them with vast amounts of wealth, both financially and scientifically. The Corporation has constructed, owned, and operated many state-of-the-art research institutes, and hired out research teams in a galactic wide sense. Oftentimes, these institutes and related facilities were kept highly secret, and hidden from academia and especially from the galacticl bio-ethics committee

THE INFANTRY

Usually the Darkstar CO. infantry is comprised of private security personel. However,the main military does not use a real army but special squads. Its not a question of numbers but especialization. Generally each squadron is comprised of 100 to 260 units,trained to the level of elite infiltrators. The basic training include martial arts ,computer programming and other functions,explosive handling,fighter,shuttle and bomber control and the use of the Stealth technology present in all squadrons. The most know squadrons are the GHOST,SPECTRE and PHANTOM,each one with a speciality,used as the eyes and ears of the already big darkstar network of data and knowledge.

History.

The Virus Crisis : When a virus broke over the galaxy,by using the Darkstar stealth generators,most of the Darkstar fleet was saved or in hiding. When everything calmed a bit,Darkstar arose from the shadows and guided many nations and empires into saving the galaxy. This lead to the full creation of the United Galactic Commonwealth,that was before in his infancy.

The Galactic Crisis : In a galaxy of fast changing conditions,a block of power arose called the SDI. While the Darkstar Corporation was not directly involved in this crisis,the U.G.C was in a "Cold War" with the S.D.I . Many cases of black flag operations were reported,mostly when peace summits were created . This however was not the real war. When everyone was occupied with the atritions between the two powerblocs,a third enemy arose. Many planets and systems fell for unknown terrorist and religious order and  power spikes of big magnitudes happened,announcing the beginning of the end by a old legend. All Files of this were erased and the story was transformed in a tale and then,myth.-

Seems to be a fitting description of Darkstar, as far as I know.
Mysterious, stealthy corporation everyone knows and has to count in when doing galactic politics, but noone knows any details.

Rumors of Equestrian agents trying to get information on Darkstar Co. affairs.
A small media work is being activated to give the population some information.

Military affairs: The training of the new POLTERGEIST and SHADE elite SpecOps squads are complete. While POLTERGEIST is more combat oriented,SHADE is more a Military Police.

Scientific: The research on the new alloys to create a better conductor is going well. This can lead to a better cannon and later a better railgun. While Darkstar has more advanced weaponry,the old Railgun technology is reliable and time-proven,being then upgraded to a 20% range and power.

The new production of Blaze frigates is almost done. The frigates are passing by the test phase and later will be flying with the Scarlet and the decomissioned but still used Ironshield frigates.
