"Attention Beta Group we have new orders to protect Cestius Jump Station 15. Nothing else matters." John said to each ship. "ETA: 10 Min."

"Shit" D'riqnar thought, the comm from his traitor officer had gotten through; his sensors were picking up waves of librarian ships, and closing fast, "Battle stations!" He screamed down the intercom; smashing a dent into the metal panel where he had hit it. The librarian ships came into view on the monitor; Pinnaces. He lurched for a turret control station, quickly blasting apart one of the enemy ships with the enormous turret. "Strange" He thought, The librarians were a formidable enemy, and yet they chose to throw away pinnaces at his own, one of the most powerful ships in the Valyrian military, with no chance of survival. "Damn it" He shouted "What are they doing" "Wait" The sensors officer murmoured gently to him, "Theres something on sensors", "Its bigger, much bigger" "Bring it up on the viewer" D'riqnar replied, inquisitive. A great, lumbering battleship appeared on the viewer; it was big, with firepower rivalling that of his own ship. "Fire Everything!" He screamed at his weapons officer, and with a torrent of light and roaring crackle the twin radiation accelerators let loose, gouging a great hole in the side of the ship, D'riqnar smiled as he watched Librarians fly into the void and choke on nothingness. With a torrent of fire, the Librarians replied, and they struck hard and fast, the screeching noise of tearing metal filled D'riqnars ears; the left Port Radiation cannon was crippled. His eyes widened at the status monitor, the power was dropping fast, too fast; with another crackle came his answer, blinding light filled the bridge; 3 pulses, an explosion and then silence. His ears still ringing, he glanced up at the viewer, it was crippled. The librarian ship was drifting helplessly in two halves. He looked to his right. the starboard accelerator was ruined, banana peeled, it had overloaded catastrophically; firing with enough force to destroy a small moon. "Status report" He shouted at one of the officers "Both Radiation accelerators are crippled, and the engines are down to 70% of full thrust, and we have multiple hull breaches; we need to get back to Valyria". D'riqnar howled with rage, striking the officer and snapping his neck with a single blow. "Lay in a course to Valyria, and contact High command" He growled, still shivering with fury.

Silence has been compromised, heading back to Valyria at 70% max speed, requesting an escort; both radiation accelerators are unusable in present condition.

"FTL in 3... 2... Wait. Emergency wire from command. Halting sequence."

"What does the wire say, ensign?"

"Wire reads that Chi Ceti is experiencing Anomaly-34, and is cordoned. We are to proceed to Theta Cydni."

"Theta Cydni? That's not our next objective. What does command say about our original target, Procyon?"

"Command says not to worry about it; another battlegroup will handle it."

"Alright. Helm, lay in course to Theta Cydni."

"Affirmitive, commander. ETA is 2 and 2/5 days."

Colbor sat in the containment cell, listening to the strange psychic disturbances coming from the interrogation room. He couldn't hear them so clearly, for measures had been taken against him and his captured comrades to dampen their psychic potential, the other two, Gradus and Jakus, were regular skytherians, not born from the same project that created Colbor's line of soldiers. Their psychic functions had be halted completely.

The other two were unaware that Colbor was cloned from the legendary Zero, this misinformation was for security reasons, and might prove useful, the equestrians were completely unaware that they were dealing with a level 6, potentially higher psychic.

The three of them had refused to remove their MOXUS systems, though the equestrians had been able to deactivate their weapons, they hadn't been able to de-integrate the system, but they had been able to place strong restraints on their armour, limiting their movement.

Colbor suspected that the equestrians were using a psionic interrogation method, if they were, he might stand a chance, if he could mask his true psychic potential, he would be able to resist the interrogation, and the thick armour from the MOXUS system would make conventional interrogations difficult. His two comrades would not be so lucky, they would give information away as they were completely defenceless.

Colbor considered telling the other two about his plan, but couldn't risk giving it away. He sat there, concentrating.

The 2 Strigiforme awaited interrogation in their holding cell. Their talons were blunted and covered in a soft foam, rendering them useless as weapons. Their wings had been trimmed, making it impossible to fly. Their beaks were sealed almost closed with a thick steel band, and capped with more foam making it impossible to peck something to death. They were held in a small room with a few guards outside. In short, the two Strigiforme were trapped with no means of escape. Fortunately, they never expected to escape. They were implanted with explosives, one with a bomb and the other with the detonator. They had been screened, of course, but the bomb was carefully crafted with organic materials, and shaped like their appendix, which was removed. The one with the detonator had an implant that also had a miniscule detonator attached that was shaped like a music add-on. The implants were uncommon, but not enough so that the Equestrians looked too much further. They, obviously, used special signals to make sure everything was shut down, and also did some light surgery to take out the power module and memory module. The detonator, though, was activated by the signals that shut down the implant. It had a tiny glob of chemical fuel attached, and a very small range. It ran on a timer to ensure the strongest sensors when they removed parts of the implant wouldn't detect it. The two Strigiforme, one male and one female, possibly mates, were placed in the same room in the vain hopes they would talk. They talked, of course, but it was either lies or nothing important. They then huddled together, and the detonator in the female's brain sent a signal to the almost-microscopic medical monitor in the male's pseudoappendix, detonating and killing them both.

"Shit!" Aras lurched forward against her restraints as the ship hit a pocket of hyperspace turbulence. Her helmet slammed into an above control panel. "Everyone, strap yourselves down to something. 'S gonna be a little bumpy." A trickle of fuchsia blood seeped through her fur and ran into her eye. She reached under her eyepiece and wiped it from her brow.

The manual override of the hatch at the back of the cabin was forced open from the other side. Hearing the screech the unused emergency release mechanism over the vibrations of the ship, Aras shifted to view the door. It swung back from the bulkhead, leaving a hole through which a figure drifted into the cockpit. The human propelled itself through, adeptly manipulating itself in the null gravity, and closed the hatch. The ship rocked again, causing the human to bump against the ceiling. He kicked off of the panel and grabbed the head restraint of the copilot's seat, flipped into it, and fastened the harness.

"Thorpe. I ordered you to stay off the bridge." Aras shouted over the din.

He reached to the control dash and began tuning various controls."Seemed like you needed a little help."

"That doesn't change my orders, you're lucky I'm feeling generous or I'd have you courted for insubordination."

"Yeah, you think they'd finally let me quit? I was retired before this, now I'm just trying to save my own ass."

"I'm perfectly capable of flying this ship, this isn't my first reroute."

"We're going nearly forty-five degrees from our original course and I have thirty years of experience. Mam, I know what I'm doing, please let me do it."

"Fine. But don't think tha- Wait, what are you doing?!"

"Engaging inertial dampeners."

"That'll rip us apart!"

"Not if we start the retro burn now."

"Then we'll drop out of hyperspace."

"I've looked at the charts. There's a well that runs parallel to our course. If we decelerate enough, we might be able to catch it. Should drop out within a few hundred thousand kilometers of our target."

The shaking increased. Thorpe stared at Aras, waiting for permission. "Do it."

Thorpe pulled on a throttle bar, increasing external dampening. The shaking ceased and several alert signals began chirping on the monitors, indicating overload stresses. Aras deactivated the alarms and readied the forward engines. After a few seconds, her copilot slid the thrust dial to maximum. The vibration began again, this time emanating from the ship itself rather than spacial turbulence. The passive light of the hyperspace pathway began to shift. She could see the inky blackness of realspace between streaks of violet and red. The tunnel's wall moved toward the Flintlock, then morphed and twisted as it entered the compression well. The well spat the ship out into another pathway. Turbulence stopped completely, the monitors' alarms quieted. Aras looked over the biosigns of the crew and ship systems.

"Huh. Flintlock's in one piece, no one's dead." She said, looking up from the monitor.

"You're welcome, commander." Replied Thorpe, "Arrival in ten seconds... Five seconds. Three. Two. One."

Thorpe cut the engines, spun up the electronic countermeasures, and brought the ship out of hyperspace. A small planetoid appeared to the starboard side. As the Flintlock rounded its horizon, the planet around which orbited the prison complex came into view. Aras enlarged the image on the canopy. A tiny plume of vented air and a flash of light appeared on the massive station as an explosive detonated.

They said in unison, "Shit."

You do know this is only a small explosive to kill two owls, not a massive bomb, right? Also how the fuck are you in their home system during wartime without being shot to pieces?

People had to move to the northern, rockier continent to survive. Eventually, the Thread was eradicated, but now Pern seeks to destroy the original, sentient life forms from which the Thread originated. Dragons were fitted for space travel, large ships were made to hold them and they proceeded to embark on their mission to purge the thread from existence for good.

F'ray was born and raised to be a dragon fighter, and emerged top of his class in training. He was assigned to Lessa III, an exploration vessel with the purpose of finding and eradicating Thread. They recently emerged from travel when they encountered ships of unknown design. With no way to contact the ships themselves, they waited.

Ninja, no. For one, it's completely copied (100%) out of another thing.

Second, we have way too many empires already. It's hard to keep track.

ACHO, say the owls were on the edge of the station which didn't exactly have the strongest hull compared to the interior walls. The explosive threw out the hull panels because they were the weakest point, due to pressure.

I was assuming that the owls were being kept in an external cell, so the explosion would have penetrated the outer wall. I was also assuming that the equestrian's hyperspace security is less than average. Even if they had a hyperspace sensor net, the reroute would have gotten around it (thanks to its Feles slip drive). Flintlock is equipped with ECM and advanced stealth plating. Its no darkstar but it can get the job done with sufficient speed.

After he finished his morning preparation,he headed out for the main Cybertech building. He was one of the founders of the Cybertech Industries. What was a dream is now truth,as he began to look at the sight of the big black building. In the middle of the hell,that would be a beacon of hope. He stationed his car in the determined area and then headed to the Reunion Room. The sweat over his face was showing his problems with the current state of the humanity. It was not his concern,however,he could not sit there waiting for the hell to come.

The whole point of the last entry was stealth, pop into equestrian territory without being noticed. Also the Flintlock is under the authority of the Scandinavian Union at the moment, kind of a privateer. That's where Aras's crew came from. If the Equestrians were able to detect the ship with such ease, they'd have known that, too.

Lightspeed, you can't control the company because it's a large COMPANY, a MILITARY one at that. You'd pretty much be controlling your own army. Also, you still aren't accepted. Figure it out. Try looking at other's applications or posts.

An Admiral only controls a fleet, and on it's own, it isn't very powerful. So that's why there are admirals and such.
