| Colbor's psychic abilities were only blocked by a little device on his head, to de-activate it, all he needed to do was send a few electrons (or positrons, depending on how this one worked) astray. He has been stockpiling his Psychic potential (PP basically) since they had been captured, so he had more than enough to burn, just didn't have the best means to carry it out.
"Just a little more" he thought.
He felt something click inside his head, he had weakened the device, this made the rest of the job a little easier, not by much though, he could only weaken it temporarily, unless he shut the whole thing down at once. Colbor kept trying, eventually, more ofnthe device gave way, increasing Colbor's power, giving him more to throw at the device.
After a few minutes, it was completely fried, Colbor's prepared to break out. A couple of energy blasts should take care of his restraints, and he would have more then enough power left to disable the guards, if there were any.
He heard the guards approaching, this was no good, if he blew off the restraints now, they would know what he was doing, he would need the element of surprise (as in surprise, not the joke name Skytherian chemists use for Yttrium) to fight them... Unless...
Colbor had an idea, he turned the device back on, taking care to disable its working parts, on inspection, it would appear the device was functioning.

| Lightspeed accepted. Kiwi, you may make another application if you wish.
-Orders to: Kyytrii-
Theta Cyndi is a heavily fortified human world. If we're correct, it has 4 battlecruisers stationed with a laser defense matrix over the main industrial planet, Cyndi Helix. Anomaly 34 is not expected to rectify itself within the next few weeks, and it is much wiser to go around that attempt to interrupt whatever experiment is going on there.
Theta Cyndi is the only system remaining which would allow the rendezvouz to be completed on time. We trust that you will be able to take down the defenses enough for Strike Group Triiyll to clear out.

| Lucas[ Thats actually my IRL name.] was on his initial shift. He waked when his bunk-bed friend called him to begin his shift. The U.S.S Guardian was not seeing much fight lately, but the extensive patrols, the ever alert crew, the fear of the devil coming at door was excruciating. He began his shift going to the briefing room,a little late* -Okay,boys.. Said Arthur Sinclair,Captain of the Guardian. -We have a situation on our hands. A small holographical screen appeared. In it was the image of a system [Theta Cyndi] - We were sent to protect a position. This is crucial to our "sucess" or at least, staying alive. We will be not alone, however. There will be the Forlorn Hope, the Grey Castle, the Yorktown and the good old Lady lex,all of the Freedom class battleships. Questions? Lucas arrive at the briefing near the end, sitting by everyone. The captain would not be so mad with him. The Void Devils squadron was a powerful addition to the average Killer bees or the Blue Angels. -Thats all. Operation begin in 9 hours. You,Kyoto [Leader of the Killer Bee squadron] will be flying the Hornets. i expect reports on turns of 40 minutes. You,Jennet [Leader of the Angels] Will assist the the Killer Bees on tactical information with the Scimitars. The captain direct himself to look at Lucas -You arrive late, but we all know that you can get the job done. You will be flying the Rapiers and will be carrying patrol duties. When we arrive at Theta,i will be counting on you. Thats all people, dismissed! For the remaining time,Lucas began to patrol the area around the ship waiting for the jump time. OOC: I dont know, its fenway that gives our briefing? ------------------------- Small information on some "Terran" ships - Spoiler:
RAPIER - Spoiler:
Few military spacecraft have achieved the sheer fame of the F-44 Rapier II. The Rapier's sleek lines and famous silhouette have become synonymous with the might of the Confederation military - and will remain forever enshrined in the minds of a generation of young men and women who grew up dreaming of top gun heroics.
HORNETS - Spoiler:
The Hornet engage in reconaissance, patrol and light anti-shipping duties through the entire run of the war. A trainer variant of the Hornet is flown by beginner pilots at the Terran Academy.
SCIMITAR - Spoiler:
Though it earned the scorn of both space superiority and strike craft pilots alike, the Scimitar was a tried and true durable medium fighter - fully capable of routine interdiction and light strike duties.as well as a extense cyber-warfare suit
FREEDOM CLASS BATTLESHIP - Spoiler:
Confederation engineers and scientists studied the wreckage of some Strigeforme ships. They used a special type of shield and that was the inspiration for one weapon. It was a mass accelerator, using superconductors to fire a charged particle with such an enormous force that whatever target was lined up in its sights would be completely destroyed. The weapon prototype was highly effective against ground targets but the arming and firing sequence was much too slow for it to be of any use against a capital ship. Confederation Research & Development was able to redesign the weapon, lowering its destruction potential, but shortening the arming sequence so that it could be an effective anti-ship platform: the Phase-Transit Cannon. They designed it to fit into the keel of a new class of battleship then under construction.
This new ship would be one of the most powerful ever fielded by the Confederation during the war. Nearly a kilometer long and weighing 73,000 metric tonnes, the Freedom-class was packed with every offensive weapon that her designers could fit on the space frame. With the Phase-Transit Cannon, several energy mounts and room for 20 fighters, the Freedom class battleship was a most formidable vessel.
Despite its considerable capabilities, the design was beset with several major flaws. The most significant was the massive power drain caused by the Phase-Transit Cannon on the vessel's power plant. The Phase-Transit Cannon drained so much of the dreadnought's energy in one shot that too many firing attempts within a given time frame could potentially overload the reactor.

| Three guards arrived at the cell door of the Skytherians. guard 1: (to skytherians, through cell door) "Okay, we´ll now disable your psionic blockers, open the door and run some scans on you. Don´t even try to escape, there´s lots of psionics strongr than..." guard 2: "Sir, something´s wrong, look!" guard 1: "What is... hell. Ring full alert! Lockdown! *over intercom* ALERT! A psionic dampener failed to respond! We may have a class-A psionic!"
in the main control room:
Remembrance: SHIT! Get the AlAmCa there NOW; use a 10,000 AUE-disableing blast! [OOC: the blast of the cannon would be strong enough to knock out a god-like being, so the Skytherian doesn´t realy have a chance against it. Proto, I suggest you start your escape attempt now, and avoid the gun (altough the skytherian doesn´t know about it, except for the psionic energy he felt when the humans were interrogated, so he´ll have a hard time, especially considering it looks more like a bulky antenna than a cannon, making it relatively difficult to identify as a powerful weapon.)whatever. Tough situation, right? Well, I´ll make the escape attempt your part, but keep in mind you are in a highly secured prison complex with psionically trained staff, not to mention the fact it´s also a military construction site, so there´s quite a few military ships around that will shoot you down IF you do manage to escape.]

| Colbor smiled as he sent the three guards crashing into the wall, not quite killing them, but breaking enough bones for them to no longer be a threat.
The other two were shocked, they were entirely unaware that Colbor would be capable of this, they believed they were watching an unknown psyche (OOC: term given to the skytherians with exceptional psychic capabilities, up to level 11), but Colbor could only muster a level 6 at best, but he had stored up more than enough power to break them out.
He walked to the three unconscious guards, probing their minds for information on how to operate their weapons, then picking one up, and throwing the other two to his comrades.
"Follow me, I've alerted the SNF- Scythe, they are en route to provide support, I don't know how much they can do though".
The other two engaged their MOXUS battle rigs, their weapons systems were gone, but they would still have the accuracy bonus.
Colbor detected several guards moving towards them, coming from the interrogation area, about 5, maybe 6, all armed. They headed in the other direction, passing other cells and releasing their prisoners, trying to initiate a full prison riot, that way they wouldn't be the only thing the guards would be shooting at.
Elsewhere, the rest of Colbors special forces unit began to move.

| guard: "Sir, it appears they are releasing the other prisoners!" Remembrance: "Okay, order all guards to put on psi-filters, I´m activating the psionic noise generator." guard: "Yes, Sir." [OOC: The psionic noise generator emitts a psionic sough overlapping with the thoughts of people, therefore generally neutralizing non-psionics and making it harder for psionics to concentrate, as they´ll need to use small ammounts of psionic energy constantly to block off the noise. Only non-effected are the staff with the psi-filters who all just got the order to activate them.] Remembrance: "Also inform HQ, we might need reinforcements." guard: "Elite or riot control?" Remembrance: "Elite, the PNG should deal with the riot but the Skytherians could cause real trouble."
[OOC: Fenway, I count on you to play the psi-ops reinforcements I ordered]

Negative on the Psi-Ops, all units are unavailable. The closest unit is 3 hours away.
However, battleship Nexus 7 is on standby close to your location. 3 Platoons of soldiers can be brought to the station and be onboard in 5 minutes. Nexus 7 has been alerted and is currently enroute.
Do NOT use Psi-disabling weaponry on the loose prisoners. The Super-Weapon is not yet completed, and the structure of the prison may overload and destroy key components if a blast over 4000 AUE occurs.
If capture is impossible, kill the loose prisoners. We cannot let them escape.

| BOO
Name: Markus T. Korriman
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Personality: Fun-loving, happy-go-lucky, and a hell of a s*** disturber.
Profession: Pilot / Commander
Affiliation: Neutral, nominally humanity (Specifically Canada and the U.K.) Opposed to the Equestrians.
Current status: Commanding a half-dead human carrier, along with his band of merry men/women/and a few owls.
Short Backstory: Deciding at an early age that fighting in the war a) wouldn't help and b) would kill him and his friends, they banded together and began hauling supplies for the human governments. After some time doing this, they stumbled across a blasted carrier, which they patched up (it moves, kinda) and named Odysseus. Now, they both haul supplies for humanity and provide a safe haven for those who would rather not be drafted. Made more than a few friends in the quote-criminal underworld-unquote. Unhealthy addiction to ancient movies. (Read: pre-2050)
Other Details: The Odysseus serves as a base for a number of pirate groups, as well as many smugglers, murderers, and lowlifes. Tolerated by the governments because the ship fights (sometimes) and moves supplies for them.

| D'riqnar wrapped his knuckles on the arm of his chair impatiently, the ship had been in repair dock for several days, and although the port accelerator had been repaired; the Valyrian scientists had deemed this an appropriate time to "Conduct studies on the effects of massively overloaded Verge cannons" The effect was fairly obvious; the starboard accelerator lay broken in its banana peeled casing; while the superstructure groaned menacingly from its wounds. The ship was Ayleid in origin, and the Valyrians only understood basic levels of its mechanics. The repairs where estimated to take a week, and quantum analysis of the hull had at least uncovered some sort of chamber in the centre hull, which seemed to contain several small; blade shaped objects; around 30 metres in lenth. | |

Ivan, the super-weapon is a PSIONIC based one. It requires extensive (and expensive) psionic equipment, a a sufficiently powerful psionic blast will fry that equipment. That's the danger.

| The Strigiforme ships appeared in orbit of the star of Theta Cyd., close to the planet they were targeting
In moments, long-range torpedoes had been launched, as well as long range tungsten rounds that were designed to indiscriminately hit things in orbit. The fleet, however, didn't have time to completely wipe out the planet's biosphere, and instead closed on the planet's orbit to wipe out facilities and do basic orbital bombardment. Some ships registered on the edge of the system, but by the time they would arrive, they would be too late(this is other player's ship(s)). The Strigiforme carrier deployed its 25 fighters and bombers, then retreated behind a small cover created by a shield cruiser. The Aiigaiion began firing salvos of torpedoes at the fleet in orbit, and the escort frigates in the battlegroup began closing on the enemy dreadnought. The Aiigaiion moved to close on the enemy dreadnought as well, firing lasers at defense installations it passed. The Aiigaiion and Terran dreadnought went toe to toe, firing close up torpedo salvos and defensive weapons. Quickly, the Aiigaiion's superior shielding and better construction won out, with the dreadnought left dead in the water for a later deconstruction fleet to kill and scrap. The rest of the fleet fared similarly; the Strigiforme had been building the ships for millennia, and had access to better resources and more time, compared to the shoddy Terran ships. The orbital defences gave the fleet more problems, killing a Strigiforme cruiser and 2 frigates, and heavily damaging 4 more frigates. The Aiigaiion fired a few laser strikes down onto the planet's spaceports and other important locations, as well as a few random siege torpedoes, just to destabilize the atmosphere with clouds of dust.
Quickly, the Strigiforme moved away from the planet, and after just 14 hours of fighting, jumped to Epsilon Eridani. Unfortunately, they were in too much of a rush to mask their jump signatures. But no one would follow a large Strigiforme strike force to a known Strigiforme rally point with hundreds of ships, right?

Beta Group had a plan. It contacted the Station with a time for it to be ready, 30 min.

The U.S.S Guardian arrived at the edge of the battle. While the planet was already lost, the sense of revenge was driven inside of the squadrons heart. - Lightspeed, you are cleared to launch. Give´em hell. The Void Devils were launched. Lightspeed and his wingmen began to fly at the Strigeforme fleet on their retreat. The feel fighters that were patrolling the retreating fleet began to scramble at then. - Sunflower,Postman,Kyoto and Boss, follow me! The Four fighters led by Lightspeed began to dive on the scrambling and confused enemy fighters,as well as the other squadrons. The sleek and nimble ships began to attack the scrambling fighters. Of course, the Strigeforme fighters were fast, but nothing compares to experienced Ace pilots. They were easy to beat, with the experience and raw emotions being the power at the moment of reckoning. The Guardian launched salvo after salvo of reaction missiles [Nukes] upon the retreating fleet,at least taking at least 2 frigates with him and crippling another one, being easy prey for the bombers [Of your 4 damaged frigates,3 were destroyed. Crippled and damaged for a fast warp] When the fleet finally has been retreat, the planet was completely lost. On the orbit, the pieces of the 4 "almighty" battleships were detroyed, ghosts of what has been hope for the people of that planet. The Guardian began to scan and patrol the area around, securing at least for some time. -Admiral. Said the Helmsman. - Yes,Melissa? -They did not mask their jump signature. We could follow then. - We will not do that. We have to live to fight another day. Signal the HQ their location.Tell the pilots to go back to the ship. A urgent message.. - Admiral, message coming in. - On screen. "Admiral,a large force is coming trough the Sol Relay. You have to go back and be part of the official defense. If we lose sol,the humans are finished." - Oh well,we are very close to that. The Helmsman Melissa Lindsey say on the channel - All wings, back to the ship. -But sir! Lightspeed screamed enraged - THEY BLASTED THE WHOLE DAMN PLANET! WE COULD- -Silence lieutenant! Watch your tongue! You are talking with you C.O! Now,all ships, return to base. -...Yes,Sir. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REGARDING THE GUARDIAN - Spoiler:
The Guardian was designed to contain all the necessary aspects of a battle group within one hull. More of a mobile star base than a simple carrier, the class possesses its own research and development, intelligence and supply divisions, combining roles normally filled by specialist ships. One of the key purposes of the Guardian design was the ability to operate unsupported in enemy territory.the Guardian-class is not designed with heavy energy armament. She is equipped with six capital-ship missile launchers, allowing a stand-off capacity against enemy warships should they enter range. With 25 dual mount laser turrets, six dual mount ion turrets and six IFF missile launchers, the class also possesses a formidable anti-fighter armament. Her armor, while still heavy, is significantly thinner than that seen on the Vesuvius-class, allowing more usable space for the ship's science and support facilities, however the ship reactors were made to resist much more stress, allowing more powerfull shields to be fielded. Her engines are more powerful too. Not on par with frigate speed, but can be more fast than a usual Dreadnought, being "agile" for a ship of his kind. The ship mounts six forward facing launch tubes and two landing bays. Guardian has the facilities to field a wing of 562 spacecraft, though early ships often sortied with fewer fighters than they were capable of carrying.
The class is also designed to be adaptable to its environment. Many components are removable, allowing much shorter refit times than a conventional fleet carrier. Her facilities were designed with upgrades in mind, so that the ship could be continually updated to meet new threats.
Total damage to the ship:3% [Some fighter missiles that go trought, hiting the shields but no damage at all] Total damage given: 9%.[ 3 strigeform frigate was been damaged/destroyed by a salvo of reaction missiles, plus the fighters and bombers destroyed.] OOC: I dont think that a place with a important research would be easily beaten. But okay, humanity has ALWAYS to suffer... ¬¬. I would expect at least a fucking fleet there.

On the orbit, the pieces of the 4 "almighty" battleships were detroyed, ghosts of what has been hope for the people of that planet.
-Admiral. Said the Helmsman. - Yes,Melissa? -They did not mask their jump signature. We could follow then. - We will not do that. We have to live to fight another day. Signal the HQ their location.Tell then to go back
A urgent message.. - Admiral, message coming in. - On screen.
"Admiral,a large force is coming trough the Sol Relay. You have to go back and be part of the official defense. If we lose sol,the humans are finished."
- Oh well,we are very close to that.
The Helmsman Melissa Lindsey say on the channel - All wings, back to the ship.
-But sir! Lightspeed screamed enraged
- THEY BLASTED THE WHOLE DAMN PLANET! WE COULD-
-Silence lieutenant! Watch your tongue! You are talking with you C.O! Now,all ships, return to base.
-...Yes,Sir. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total damage to the ship:3% [Some fighter missiles that go trought, hiting the shields but no damage at all]
Total damage given: 9%.[ A Strigeforme frigate was been damaged/destroyed by a salvo of reaction missiles, plus the fighters and bombers destroyed.]
OOC: I dont think that a place with a important research would be easily beaten. But okay, humanity has ALWAYS to suffer... ¬¬. I would expect at least a fucking fleet there.

| -Message to: U.S.S Guardian-
Your assistance in tracking the fleet's location was useful; we suspect their destination is their rallying point.
Unfortunately, you were late in engaging the fleet, and Theta Cyndi is a complete loss. Had you arrived earlier, the colonists might have had more time to escape. This will be marked down on your record.
The Sol system is taken care of for now. You are instructed to head to Chi Ceti, which has been in a communications blackout for the past 72 hours. We suspect the worst, so expect resistance. We don't know whether the Strigiforme or Equestrians are behind it.

| Aras ran a finger along one of her 50cm, jet-black nanoblades, the slight curve of its edge gleaming in the yellow alert lights of the Flintlock's armory. The six infiltrators that she'd been given by the SU readied their weapons and equipment, some glancing nervously around, most engrossed in their cleaning and assembling. Thorpe, who Aras now referred to by his callsign, Mad Jack, was standing behind her in the open bulkhead hatch, watching the combatants. One of the more notable of the six, a large man whose name appeared on the roster simply as 'Lief', had already assembled the bottom half of his hardsuit and was staring silently at Aras, two small axes hanging on his hip. Aras slid the sword into the slot on her back, along with its twin. She then slipped her hand into the gauntlet of the arm that hung from the shoulder actuator of her gunmetal-grey suit. The rest of the pressure-sealed armor clamped onto her arm as she bent and flexed it. She repeated this process with her other arm and closed the last plates of the torso and legs.
"Ten minutes, everyone. Suit up. Jack, you get back to the cockpit." Aras called, gathering her firearms and the last of her knives and slipping them into their slots and holsters.
"Aye, ma'am." Thorpe said, disappearing into the low-gravity corridor outside the armory.
"The rest of you, listen up. We're going in cold and dark. No comm, no backup, no second chances. We'll be jumping directly from here to 457, then find our way in, either electronically or manually." The Twins, a pair made infamous by their infiltration skills, glanced at each other. "From there, we locate our targets and either extract or neutralize them, whatever it takes. If we're lucky, Mad Jack can make another pass at the station in a few hours, but don't expect any miracles. After we make the jump, the Equs'll start watching. This mission, as you know, is dangerous. Extreme risk, extreme reward. Any questions?"
There were none.
"Good. Everyone to the hangar. Time is 00:10, we drop in five."
