Me. And all civilized fourm users. Now, a good topic with sense and a good reason to be revived is great. But just "Oh, i liex teh ieda it makes better killz." does not help the conversation, and as such is just annoying.

Umm, considering that robots use power, and power generates heat, which is picked up as thermal radiation in the mid-infrared scale, they might just show up.

I thought of that, but if I made a robot to kill you. It wouldn't let out heat... and power from a robot probably wouldn't let out much heat anyway. (Unless it fired a lazor)

And then your robot will be shut down so we can pick it up, put a YIG oscillator near it, and examine it without interuption. Also, EMPs dont destroy anything except coded information, and they only knock out powered things.

1. If the robot was hot enough to destroy cameras, it would melt. It would also destroy the vehicle you tried to transport it in, and you would be unable to test it because it would cook you.

2. EMP stands for electromagnetic pulse. It's not a field, and even if it was, it would short out the robot. In science fiction (or at least in Star Wars), EMPs are usually used in the form of grenades that are effective against battle droids.

3. Smoke inhalation is not a very effective way to kill your enemies. Neither is cooking, although the Kzin attempted to use that in the first engagement of the Man-Kzin Wars, so I'll accept it as a legitimate science fiction weapon.

Lol, what happened with that? Choked?

And Khmac, it would depend on the size or power of the robot. If you're talking about a high-powered agile assassin robot, I think it would let out heat. Maybe if you used a standard cannon fodder robot that looks like a stickman, it would work.
