The music in the video is hilarious. Also they made the largest battleship to ever sail a spaceship.

That's a big ship! And very good for a battleship turned into a spaceship!

Interresting... The Wave Motion Gun is missing...
Reminds me a bit of Battleship Halberd... (I still think that´s a spaceship!)
And why did he use the song with the Japanese lyrics? There is also a version with english lyrics...

Yamato was the largest Japanese battleship (and largest in the world). It was going to Okinawa escorted by a cruiser and 8 destroyers, to attack the American Invasion there, and the Japanese planned to beach it on the shore as an unsinkable fortress. In fact the Japanese only put enough fuel in it to get to Okinawa, it was a one way trip. But it never made it to shore, the Allies intercepted and decoded their radio transmissions, and learned of their plan. Two American submarines, the USS Threadfin and USS Hackleback, both Balao class submarines spotted Yamato and gave the carrier strike force (USS Enterprise and USS Yorktown) off the coast of Okinawa it's coordinates. At 12:30 280 bomber (SBD Dauntless and Helldivers) and torpedo planes (TBF or possibly TBM Avengers) were sent to Yamato. Yamato fired its anti-aircraft guns into the sky, but with so many targets it became ineffective. Yamato was bombed several times and hit by several torpedoes. The order was given to abandon the ship at 2:02, as fires were blazing all over, and the forward magazine was getting too hot, they could not risk being on the boat when it exploded. They could not flood the magazine as they should have because the pumps were unusable from previous flooding. At 2:20 her power went out, and at 2:23 the Yamato capsized. The main turrets fell off, and as it rolled it created a suction that sucked the swimming crew back towards the boat, and then the magazine exploded, creating a huge explosion, and a mushroom cloud arose from it. The Yamato was hit by at least 11 torpedoes and 6 bombs, and that caused her to sink. Imagine a story in Futurecraft like that.

... And how do you know that ? I believe we could guess by the ship's name but still ...
Me researching interdimensional politics:

Anyway, Space Battleship Yamato originally was a sci-fi japanese anime from 1974. (With the song from the video in the main post as theme song) It got translated into english language under the name "Star Blazers". In Japan, Yamato beat Star Wars in means of publicity. Several other seasons followed.
2010, a life-action movie was released that featured the key- events from the original series (One-Year Journey to Iskandar and back with earths first FTL-drive and a prototype "wave-gun").

Yeah, didn't see THAT coming, Mr. Ego.
I have the potential, cause, and will to be extremely mean to you. But instead, I find myself overcome with relief, as if anybody as broken as you can get up in the morning, then there's hope for me yet.
