Well I still can't install forge on MC 1.6.4 so in that case you'll have to go without me.
Or Assault Cube, but I'm 95% sure everyone would rather want Minecraft.

Just be sure to put the map up for download so I too can destroy the city kay?

That's something you said you'd do on your own time. I don't have an opinion on it either way, but if you can get everything set up by Saturday it's a viable option.

I don't have KSP, do you think I want to be left out? Hence why pretty much every suggestion I've made has been freeware. Scorched Earth is freeware. AssaultCube is freeware. The list goes on and on. You can install them at no charge, and most of them are under 200mb in size so unless you're on dialup..

Scorched earth was born in the dial up era. It is amazing. Biggest question is whether it is multiplayer....?

No, Scorched Earth 3D. Open source as far as I can tell.

BTW the entire premise of the game was its multiplayer, so pretty safe assumption there.

Daynel try running the forge.jar from a .bat file Smile I had the same problem and it worked for me

So we'll play Minecraft (probably) Scorched Earth 3D (probably) modded MC (likely) and any other freeware that comes up and looks OK?

On that note, I'd like to suggest AirMech. It's a F2P (no install - DL and play) action/tactics thingy.

Yes, it's Pay2Win - but given we'd all be playing vs. each other (on new accounts) I doubt that matters TOO much.

Also. what time (GMT) is this going to kick off?

As Daynel said it's not as lightweight. I'd hesitate to call it something similar to AssaultCube; it's more of a Doom or Quake like game where AC is similar to Counterstrike.

Doubt it, Sunday is the go-to religious day in many cultures. And it always helps that on Saturday one doesn't have to worry about obligations after the game night.

Well I asked each one of you about when you can play Saturday Sunday quite a time ago and everyone answered whatever they answered and when combining all answers that window of Sunday 21:00-23:00 was the most common so here you have it, that or you can just ask everyone again just like I did a year ago or something and get the current answer ...

Problem being no one gets on consistently anymore and so many people adamantly refuse to take part in anything that would rectify that shortcoming. So dynamic planning is pretty much impossible.

I mean, we had what, 6 people that signed up last time. I think we had, what, 4 come on at the designated time? You'd think that'd be pretty good, but those are the people that are in the Steam group and get on regularly. In order to make this work we're going to need more.

And maybe mics.

If we can set up a TeamSpeak server (doubt it) or a Skype group call (more likely) the mics thing is solved.
And how be we say we'll start at 21:00 GMT, and go until we run out of people. Vanilla MC is probably OK, though I've no idea how we'll sort out the server thing.

You need to plan it a few weeks in advance, and get an idea of when people can be on, then decide times from there.

And mics are fairly important, but not completely necessary, though I like the idea of having team Skype calls (or equivalent to Skype)
