Shiva's name is from Halo?

Hey Guys its Julo here.
I found an interesting Thing on the Halo Wikia.
It is a nuclear missile with the Name Shiva.
This is a Standard missile on longswords and other UNSC ships.

I've heard of these missiles and I'm pretty sure she didn't get her name from Halo. And why's 'name' capitalized but is' and 'from' aren't?

Shiva is the god of destruction and pretty much omnipotent.

The Shivans are also the super-strong aliens with partially organic ships in FreeSpace 2. They destroyed three major systems: Vasuda Prime, Capella, and (Almost) Sol.

They are named after the Hindu Goddess of destruction, though, so...

Shiva is male in Hindu -.-

I've seen Shiva seen both ways, male and female, in Hindu texts.

At any rate, I picked this name because of the Oppenheimer quote about "I am become Death, destroyer of worlds." which is a passage about Shiva.

It's very fitting for a forum admin.

I'm not sure but I think they are all diff instances of Buddha or stuff ... man why couldn't they just make one god -.- .

Wikpedia: A site where dozens of moderators and admins try to keep that from happening. Discrepancies disappear within an hour, if not minutes. In any case I studied religion last year, Shiva was always referred to as a 'he' who banged and married his SISTER. Now, given how tense things are over there about homosexuality, I sincerely doubt that Shiva could possibly be a female in Hindu.

A majority of the world today is ignorant d*****bags. Wikipedia was designed to facilitate learning, but then these *****ts go and edit them intentionally just for a little ***ts and giggles. Then we have all these people going "OH HURRR THIS WILL NOT EFFEKT ME OK?" about all the modern conflicts.

Humanity is digging a grave for itself...environmental issues, terrorism, educational deterioration...and people would sooner find ways to avoid them so they can keep their precious little desk jobs then actually face the god***n issues.
