I realize the forum needs to be tolerant, but this has gotten out of hand. For one, the creator of this thread has been implicated posting explicit images featuring the characters of the show, so the premise is clearly beyond a simple 'like'.

Secondly, the only other active member of this thread has been posting links to fanfictions that would be disgusting to any sane person involving the mutiliation or dismemberment of their supposed favorite show.

I have been avoiding this thread for fear of having my retinas fused to the back of my skull, but I did skim the fan fiction. It involved ponies being fed into a meat grinder (a reasonable reaction), but no profanity that I saw. If there is actual profanity on this thread that I have not censored, I am unaware of it. Be assured that I will lock this thread the minute there is an actual reason to do so. While I do not tolerate profanity on the forum, a link to an exterior site which has a story that involves mutilation is acceptable, provided the description is not too graphic, which it was not. I can no more censor that than I would a link to Anakin Skywalker's Wookieepedia page. That even has pictures of his injuries. If you can provide a good reason to lock this topic, please post it.

Did you know that the german pirate party (political parties in most european nations are what would be the houses in the US) has etablished official pony-breaks where the members of the pirate party watch an episode of MLP:FiM fitting the current theme of discussion in order to cool down?

Vinyl has been caught on more than one occasion posting so coined 'pony porn'. Therefore it's only logical to assume this extends far deeper than a mere preference of tv show. Then we have the alt of Rainbow Dash, and the stories...

The stories alone should be just cause enough to remove this thread, anyway. If you just sit by and ALLOW this kind of bullcrap to be posted on this forum, there's no point of a moderation team. Vinyl has indeed posted pornography in the past, and has been reprimanded. I do not believe that there has been another incident of that type in this thread, so there's no good reason to bring it up. Likewise, why Vinyl likes MLP is not relevant to this discussion. And for the record, Rainbow Dash is not believed to be an alt. There are a number of factors going into that that I won't go into, but they're sufficient to convince me.

But I don't really see how it would be any worse than someone chopping them to bits with a lightsaber, and you wouldn't object to that. I hadn't read that one. And no, it did not belong on the forum. The descriptions were much too graphic. But you know, it wasn't on the forum until you put it here.

Anyway, this discussion is over. No-one involved with this thread (except possibly ZeoNet) will receive any form of punishment, because there's no need for them to. Nothing has been done here that was wrong. Mods have spoken; end of story.

As a final parting word, I will add that that bit with the stormtrooper pretty much happened in Death Troopers...

You're mistaken if my intent is to point out flaws in the moderation here. My sole goal is to get this fallacy upon our forum removed or at the very least tamed.

What you guys fail to realize is that by defending or otherwise ignoring their actions you're empowering them to do it on again, and again...scaling each time. It can only go downhill unless something changes. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

Linking to an admittedly fairly gruesome story is not even remotely the same as linking to actual pornography. For what it's worth, I have no problem at all with 'discriminating'. I just make sure I discriminate against everyone equally.

Bad things like an official statement from fr0st, Shiva, or Mackeroth stating that gruesome and disgusting stories are allowed? I've done nothing wrong here but point out the obvious, the very least you could do is conjure up a legitimate argument other than "This is over". Really, I could almost respect that statement if it were not for the lack of it, which only proves to me that you have no legitimate excuse for allowing and even defending content you yourself said "does not belong on this forum".

Again, this is not meant to come across as flaming. I can respect bronies as a demographic seeing as I am one myself, but this has just gotten out of hand and a "discussion OVAH" isn't going to fix it.

He made an irrelevant post that ceased the discussion, yes. Thank you Captain Obvious . I also feel affront at your 'arguing with mods' comment. A forum is meant for discussion and that's what it was being utilized for. In any case, the forum rules now make posting such riffraff here a bannable offense.
