Okay, things seem to be clearing up in 2. Empress Azalyn appears to have forgiven Tylor for something, I think she's jealous of the time he and Yuriko spent together or something, it can be noted that she's 16. In addition, Yuriko seems to be warming up towards Yamamoto, so crisis averted, whew. I hope.

It's amusing and has a good story. I've been searching for this since last year, because I watched it back when I was 8 and was babysat by my older brother who's an anime afficinado.

Really, you can't judge a book by its cover, whatever 'cover' you've managed to imagine through my ramblings. It's really a great specimen of human sci fi anime.

You have to consider this is a 32 year old military man who hates Tylor's guts at the moment, so I can only imagine how hard he's using that thing.

And all of a sudden Azalyn is on her knees asking Tylor for forgiveness...

Sry mate I don't get s*** and as combat instructions it doesn't look right . I watched one ep it didn't really apply to me , sry. Actually I barely watch anime ...

I hate anime, so you should probably understand this is actually pretty good.

You also have to acknowledge that Tylor is a happy go lucky guy, his battle tactics are basically run, run, surrender in the early episodes, and somehow manages to demolish enemy fleets singlehandedly, much of the time humorously. Eh...I'd recommend not skipping around in the episodes, but just go right to Episode 2, the first is rather...weird. In many ways.

Okay, I could accept everyone hating Tylor in the first series, it was a comedy mechanic because he was so, eh, irresponsible. But towards the end of the original series they make a big deal about how the Captain's matured, even commanding an entire fleet without so much as a casualty and earning Captain Dom's respect!

Now it seems they're making Dom out to be an antagonist...I'm not going for that...

So we have the United Space Defense Force's new high tech fleet of ships facing off against the elite Raalgon Imperial Guard while the Prime Minister apparently calls upon evil..stuff? He's some sort of mage but his magic turned on him (kinda ironic, he used it to depose Azalyn, now it's deposing him ) And then, at the end, the USDF's Fleet Commander orders the armada to form up on the Imperial Guard's ships to go and liberate the Melva, basically a city-superdreadnought that's now kinda possessed by those evils Prime Minister Wang called on.

So..you're on the edge of your seat for a massive space battle and-

It cuts to the credits. And this is the last episode of the series.
