Lets face it U.S.A. has moved to the third level of the working tier which means we don't make shit. All we have now is professionals.(a.k.a. doctors, dentist, lawyers, etc.) So, we are faced with the problems of a nation that has to deal with a decline in need of professionals and lacks professions in other markets.

This is why Canadians hate Americans even though we have a similar culture. We have several socialist policies in place, and have for some time now. Does that mean that we're communists? No. Somehow, people in the states don't realize just how far right their left wing is.

Next there's also the part where you completely misinterpret your constitution to fit the needs of the Republican party. We don't even HAVE a constitution, only a Bill of Rights, and you don't see nearly as many people up here using it to justify being a bigot.

thirty years? wtf, we were based on puritan ideals, just with laws to protect the protestants from anglicans/catholics. santorum wouldn't have won, and wouldn't have changed much anyway, stop thinking that people being comfortable with themselves and worshiping minorities is 'the future of the planet' if anything, it will be our downfall

Some people tried to get creationism taught in schools on many occasions, and succeeded in some areas, which I have a HUGE problem with. Although I would enjoy a two-sided debate with a teacher now and them instead of a bunch of my peers yelling at me (more than 40% of the population believes that the Universe is less than 10,000 years old, 75%-80% where I live).

As for the economy, I gonna tell you a secret : No matter what we'll do we are f***ed , for many reasons, primarily couse we like to trade air (Dollar goes up dollar goes down, did it change the material its made from or something ? ).

As for economy and law, there are currently two options: Social economy - A lot of help to the lower classes and support and stuff, cons are you become a magnet for unemployed homeless immigrants from 3rd world countries who increase your crime levels and suck your money (They get money from the government but don't give s**t back). Also to spend money on your citizens you first need to get it. Look at Greece as an example and warning.

On the other side there are the Capitalists. Maybe it won't stop the 3rd world immigrants but at least they won't get s*** from your money. Problem is you won't get it either. Its a good place for opportunists to go high but the higher you go the longer the fall , and don't expect support from the country when you crash.

The Ideal economy would be between those two, problem is to find that middle.



Also Canada cares about the USA's economy simply because they are economically dependent. Actually everyone is economically depended with the USA.

He's also wrong, we have gay marriage up here and almost no one rightly cares. I have a good friend who's gay, and quite frankly I don't mind at all. It's the fundies that piss me off, because they push their beliefs like they actually know what they mean (and most of the time, I have a better knowledge of what they say than they do).

Socially (because my economics are admittedly sub par), I think the two biggest problems in the world today are fanaticism and vocalization of beliefs. If no one tried to force their ideals on others, and were open to accepting viewpoints other than their own, we would live in a much better place.

Our interdependence with the USA is actually growing smaller, as we are now focusing more on cross-pacific trade.

We've found no evidence to suggest that the universe isn't a grand physics simulator operated by aliens. Under that premise, why is there any reason to believe the simulation has been running more than 10,000 years? You can't simply assume that radio decay worked the same way earlier in the simulation that is does now, nor can you assume that the expansion of the universe has remained consistent over the course of the last ten millenia. We haven't even been paying attention for a full century yet.

So in order, HBO, It's alright, it's terrible, a castrated man in a practice use throughout the centuries to produce even-tempered servants and government officials who won't go having an affair with the queen, they tend not to be in power but the one in Game of Thrones is a very powerful player in royal politics and is often underestimated to his adversaries' eventual regret.

Show is very well written but is also incredibly graphic, by which I mean beheadings, full frontal nudity, and disembowelment all in the first 30 minutes. And somehow that is still toning it down compared to the novels. So I really can't recommend seeing it unless you are old like me and the internet has already done its work desensitizing you to horrifically graphic things.
