Could there be gas giants for helium gathering?

Gas giants for hydrogen, methane, water vapor, and other gasses. They could also have a rocky core where we could harvest iron, titanium, and such.

I don't think that you want to Mine minerals in a GAS giant, because the mining laser is an Energy beam and a drill would produce Sparks. And if you Produce Sparks in the atmosphere of a Gas giant you have a little Sun as Long as the planet has Gas. And don't say Fire can't burn without air or oxygen. Because in the whole Jupiter atmosphere is enough Air to Keep a village alive for One year. And that is enough to let a Fire burn that is Big enough to destroy the Gas Giant melt the Core and your ship too.

First of all, that's not how a star works. If you set off a fusion bomb in a gas giant much much much larger than Jupiter that was comprised mostly of unstable hydrogen, then you might get a little tiny bit of star that lasts a few seconds (if this is implemented into the mod i think i'd wet my pants). Secondly, There is a LOT more oxygen in Jupiter than that. Third, if a gas giant burned there would be the same amount of matter as there was before. Fourth, a spark from a mining drill would be kindof like leaving a molecule of water in the ocean of Earth. Insignificant, very VERY low chances of setting part of a gas giant on fire. Also the gasses are layered in a gaseous planet. Separated by their densities.

Oh, and I had another thought.

There is no way I'm going to page 1 again. I have rights too, you know, and with those I implore you to repost your thoughts in a post below this one.
