| So I was playing around with the code, and I created a version that doesn't need texture files. Its pretty cute. | |

| Using the same tinting mechanism as grass, I suppose? I always wondered why wool didn't do that. | |

| Exactly Keon. Its really quite simple too. And I think wool should do the same thing, it would be much simpler and use less textures. But then the colors of wool couldn't be changed without a mod... | |

| The only texture pack that I have that uses that is a one that turns wool into pictures, such as a creeper face or a diamond pick. And that really screws up pixel art for me.
Does it have separate textures for every dyed sheep too?

| Nope, it looks like the sheep colors are hard coded into the game. The entitysheep file has a color table in it. | |

| I tried to recolor glass, but since the main part of it is transparent, the color multiplier doesn't work well. It would probably need a different texture... | |

| What's so hard about the server? I should probably download one and stick it into MMD. Never toyed with it, so I guess I need to learn now. | |

| My problem is with modLoaderMP. It hates being decompiled for some reason. Plus it isn't updated for 1.2.4 and I dont have a 1.2.3 server jar. | |

| I really like this idea, but as i said on the original idea, there should also be painting for each color. Otherwise, if you want to change the color of a ship or even part of a ship, you wont need to destroy it.
And i wouldnt think it would be that hard to code, it would just be an item for each color that, when you right click a steel block with the item, it changes the current steel into the steel with color of given item.

The problem is that there are around 20 blocks which can be colored if you are giving them (like wool) 10 colors you would have to program 200 blocks Ypu could say okay 5 colors are enough (3 are not enough) but it would still be 100 blocks. Even if you need 5 mins for 1 blck you would have to programm 9 Hours without recipes smelting or somehow integrating it.

I think Danice and I could do this same thing for every block of the game in a week if we tried.

And you really should not consider THIS too difficult in a forum for a mod that will make inter-server travel through space with massive battlecruisers and dreadnauts, going at war with one another.
