Okay, so this will be a turned based strategy game. Essentially,
follow these rules and everything will be okay-ish.
1- DO NOT DERAIL THIS THREAD. I will ban you without a moment’s hesitation.
2- Please, think before making a move. I will delete turns (posts) in which
someone deliberately tries to lose.
3- Each post counts as ONE turn.
4- I may occasionally throw a spanner into the works. Be careful.
5- This is a game of me verses everyone else.
6- Obviously, the objective is to destroy the castle.
7-Please update all game statistics on your turn
Now to explain the game mechanics.
The game is fairly simple, as I am not a computer, and can't be monitoring
1,000 different things at once.
1.1
There is a single generic "troop" type. Now, on
your turn (when you post) you can either do one of three things. You can either
send out troops to attack, set troops to defend, or set troops to gather
resources. You can only do one of these per turn. If your troops aren’t doing
anything, they are in “idle” state. To explain what those mean:
1.2
Attack: the number of troops you selected will attack the
fortress, and do damage equal to the (No. of troops attacking % 5) ^2. That means
that more troops is a good thing! Of course, you lose all troops that you use
to attack. For example, you send out 400 troops from your “idle pile” of 1,000
to attack. They do their 6,400 damage, and you are now left with 600 troops idle.
And 400 in the grave. But that’s not important...
1.3
Defend: the number of troops you select will defend against
the fortress’s attacks, on a 1-1 basis. For example, if you set 500 troops to
defend, and I attack you with 400 troops, you will be left with 100 troops and
I with none. Troops will defend continuously until told otherwise
1.4
Resource gathering: the number of troops you send out to
gather resources will bring in 10 units of that resource each turn. For
example, if you have 300 troops gathering food, 100 gathering wood, and 200
gathering metal; you will earn 3,000 foods, 1,000 woods, and 2,000 metals each
turn. Note that resources go up on every turn, regardless of whether it is mine
or yours.
2.1
The fortress: I am in charge of the fortress. What I can do
on my turn is different to what you can do on yours, as I can’t defend (I have
my walls to do it for me) and can’t gather resources (I can loot them from your
base, so watch out)
2.2
Walls: my walls start out on 10,000 hit points. Every time
you attack them, they will take damage according to the formula above. On every
turn (wether mine or yours) they will be repaired 500 hit points.
2.3
Looting: if I attack your camp, and overpower your defending
troops, I will get 10 of each resource for each troop I have left over. Taken
directly from your resource stockpile!
3.1
Training: a single troop cost 30 of each resource (I know,
it make more sense to just have a single resource rather than three if all the
costs are equal, but I might add other troops and researches later). Your camp
can train a maximum of 50 troops per turn, and I can train a maximum of 100 per
turn. You can train troops while also doing another action (attacking, set
troops to defend, etc.)
4.1
If my fortress’s hitpoints reach 0, you win. If you have than
0 troops or 0 of all the resources, than I win.
4.2
I will start off with 10000 of each resource, and 200 troops.
You will start off with 2000 of each resource, and 500 troops.
For my first turn, I will train 100 troops.
