So, I am pretty new to the Futurecraft community, but I thought that there might be a lot of problems with ships being copied, if there are players who can not build a ship that they like (I'm one of those people). I think it would be very interesting to have a blueprint trade going, so that one person who builds amazing ships can then sell their blueprint to another faction that has some large manufacturing facilities. It would probably work like copyrights do today, the way I envision it.

Shipbuilding is already going to be based on a blueprint system. It is quite likely that copies of those could eventually be made.

Though on a more relevant note, Ivan has provided basically all that can be done on the subject at this point without forcibly making everyone agree on a single thing (which if you couldn't guess is virtually impossible).
