| Now this is a "spiritual successor" to another server that I have been on for a while, the original one shut down and this one has came up recently, it has all the same rules as the other one, so here's a thread of the other on to get an idea http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index.php?page=Thread&postID=53321the ip is 5.39.4.137:25565 and its a ic war sever, well not war right now since flans guns aren't smp yet so think of it as a temp ic sever, but its fun when there war. and its not a techne so don't try it, cause people have, and it doesn't work. http://industrialwar.weebly.com/download the client on this site

| I think they mean the Technic Launcher, which is an awesome launcher that you can use to play Technic pack, Tekkit, Yogbox, VoxelModPack, Hack/Mine, or vanilla. | |

| The best thing about the Technic Launcher is that it runs a bunch of different mod packs, and at one point I was thinking about seeing if they might run Futurecraft through it,which would save us (by us I mean the coders) a lot of the trouble of making our own launcher. | |

| The way these launchers implement mods is by running something similar to Modloader in that the base .jar is not altered. From what I understand, there are going to be a lot of alterations in the base classes, likely incompatible with most launchers.
imho it'd be worth the time and effort for the devs to simply make their own custom launcher and not depend on anyone else, and have free will to put stuff in as they please. | |

There are several reasons. One of them being that none of the mod devs who actually did a mod which is now in Technic/Tekkit likes Technic. Same goes for the launcher. That´s because they haven´t been asked permission. So, you can´t expect a server who is listed by the IC²-wiki itself to have Tekkit. And for FC in techniclauncher: It would be possible our devs get advice from other mod devs who create industrial mods (and maybe even get to use their code for some machinery) unless we piss them off by cooperating with technic. Oh, and it´s actually quite simple to set up a tekkit server. Just delete the EnderChest folder in the Mods folder. | |
