No. We build a Yttrium portal that, essentially, screws with reality in a certain section of space in the other dimension, and then we pop through, and build another Yttrium portal to stabilize the connection. If we don't, then we can never have any sort of connection there, ever.

As funny as that is, this is a serious threat. I think 5000 soldiers should be able to scare it off.... Maybe have another 7000 in reserve....
