"Every ship is unique. We take a design and build it from the ground up, by hand, one piece at a time. The result of your investment is a one-of-a-kind vessel, with the firepower and capabilities of a ship 5 times its size. "

The Delta Sector Privateer Corps is an infamous mercenary organization based out of the Delta Sector. After evolving on the high-gravity planet Delta Sigma 6, also known as Zeus Prime, the humanoid citizens of the DSPC are gifted with high strength, speed, and a nigh-immortal lifespan. With their birth rates far outpacing their death rates, their first order of business once they reached the Modern Era was to begin colonizing nearby systems. As such, they developed interstellar travel much earlier than FTL travel, and their scattered colonies slowly began to form their own cultures and traditions. The one common theme was the worship of combat as an art form; as every bout was different, it was one of the few chances to offer the long-lived a new experience. Once FTL became a reality, this eventually extended to space combat as well. As the homeworld began to reassert its influence, the colonies rebelled, and the entire race became fractured. Isolated from the rest of the galaxy by ion storms and subspace disruptions, their technology then began to take a different route. Naval technology was advanced to its very pinnacle. It is also during this time that their modern tactics of hit and run raids using small, elite fleets came into being. At the peak of this conflict, disaster struck-the ion storms surrounding the Delta sector completely collapsed, wiping out over 90% of their population. Although the crews of the ships were unharmed due to formidable energy shielding, almost all of their colonies were wiped out. Only Zeus Prime escaped unscathed because of the strong magnetic field from its huge iron core.

Realizing that they were an endangered species, the eldest among them forged an alliance to make their species strong again. With the path cleared to the rest of the galaxy, they began to seek territory beyond their own borders. When they encountered the scouting expedition from the United Factions, they decided to test the strength of the new arrivals. Needless to say, the scouting party had not counted upon the durability, speed and firepower of the elite DSPC vessels, and were swiftly and easily destroyed. Since that display of might, the unique ships and combat abilities of the Delta sector have become one of the most expensive commodities in the galaxy, and to handle this the DSPC was formed. Due to the prohibitive costs associated with their vessels, however, only the most powerful factions can afford more than one or two cruisers, so the main source of income is the racketeering of shipping lanes near their space. This in and of itself has resulted in a high level of income and a strong galactic currency, and all resources not directed at shipbuilding are used to maintain a massive spy network penetrating nearly all known factions.

Citizens of the DSPC are golden skinned, tall and lean humanoids. They tend to have a calm, uncaring attitude towards whatever situations they encounter, and enjoy nothing more than annihilating an opponent with the foresight and tactical acumen of hundreds of battles experience.

The most recent project by the DMO shipyard, codenamed 'Anvil', is a massive artillery grid of almost 500 1000m long accelerators, firing rounds through subspace to destroy targets from the farthest reaches of known space.

Other than the fact that you have four dreadnoughts, it seems pretty well balanced to me.

Knokc it down to no dreadnoughts and maybe a couple more cruisers, and it's pretty good.

2 or 3 sounds more reasonable, as long as you point out you've prioritized them over orthodox ship construction for a period of time.

They're all outdated at the moment, being kept in service for defense purposes until they can be replaced with newer models. Changed to 3 with one under construction.
