Assuming that giant rectangle of glowstone is the laser, it is too big. There's no way the ship could power a laser that big; just no way.

Big lasers are pointless. More focused=better damage and penetration.

Overall, I like it. The color scheme looks great, the turrets (what I can see of them) look good, and the wings have a pleasant angle to them. It's a very aggressive looking ship.

However, for the main gun, I think you got the eyes wrong. They should look more like this:

If you scale the mechanism with the size of the beam, would you not end up with a superior weapon?

I think the problem here is that the thing is disproportionatly large compared to the ship.

I would be scared of my ships flying into the laser, but the rest is great. i would buy some(then modify laser out)

Not necessarily. It's a tradeoff between penetrating power and potential for destruction. A larger weapon can do more damage to lightly armoured targets, but thicker armour will handle the more dispersed energy more easily than a focused beam.

Would you rather have the ability to dissect a ship, slicing through armor and superstructure with surgical precision; or have the ability to affect a slightly larger area with less penetration? With a laser, the right answer is usually the prior.
