So I Want To List all Known Shield Functions and what Isn't Known.... Yet
Please post everything you Know about The shields

Generally Not Known:How are you explaing The Shields?
Is One Shield 1Unit or can it Be damaged in Certain Areas?

Known.They are extreme strong if you compare them with The Ship.
Not Known: What Is The Limit off The Shields?
Whats The Recharge rate Limit?
Is The needed Energy Growing (To Increased The Size) linear or expondentially?

Known:They will Block Rays
Not Known:Is there an limited Frequency Range?
If not :what does that Mean for The used Energy
Are Rays Going To Be Absorbed or blocked ?


Known:They are Going To Block mass (missiles and Rockets may Pass through)
Not Known:Is The mass repelled or vaporized?
How much energy will it Cost To do this?
How are Shields Going to react To antimatter(IDK if this is Going To Be added)?

Hmm...

I see shields as this:

High Energy Plasma -------------------------------------
Carbon Nanotube Netting -------------------------------
One Way Mirror ------------------------------------------

Thus:

Physical objects are incinerated by the plasma and caught by the nanotube net.
Lasers are reflected.
Plasma is absorbed by the plasma shield.

I would say an overall shield, not blocks.

But this Shield construction may Cause Problems
1.The Plasma might react with some materials or other Plasma
2.How Should missiles Pass through?
3.Why can your Ship Fire through The Plasma?
4.WTH are your guns doing with The mirror???

It was a neat Idea but Shields Must Be solved electrical
Then you can Explain them with Charter projectiles Arrow
