I'll just move it to the Off-Topic Area instead.

| AMD Turion is extremely dated. That it's a dual core only compounds the 'trashiness' of it, I'm afraid. You're missing info on your GPU, or graphics card. That could be your saving grace. | |

Save up 650$ and build your own. Use this for advice: Tomshardware i5 2400 BuildSpend the remainder on a copy of Building a PC for Dummies. The rest goes towards headsets and all the various peripherals, or the extra boost needed for name brand components should you choose that route.

| Some advice when buying PC components, deals are nice but don't wait forever for things to come down in price. No matter what you get it's going to look like a poor investment a few months down the road, but that will always be the case so don't fret it. Just make the best decision you can with whatever is on hand. | |

Unless you're me and you buy an arhendale core computer a week before sandy bridge came out, then then you feel really stupid.

| NeweggMicrocenterTigerdirectI'd recommend Microcenter if you can find one of their stores in your area, they sell CPUs uber cheap and you wouldn't have to worry about shipping costs. Just remember to take a list with you so you don't get carried away. | |
