Mining Equipment

Everyone is talking about weaponary, armory and huge spaceships.
Anyone ever wondered where to get the tons of materials you are gonna need?
Well, if I understood that right, there will be mining equipment, but I haven´t found any topic about that, so I decided to open a new one.
My Ideas would be:

1) Quarry
basically what we know from buildcraft. maybe also just a specified area which Mining robots dig out.

2) Geologic Scanner
a scanner that tells you the " geologic value" of a piece of land while using EUs.
It might work like IC²s OD/OV Scanner.
Needed to be installed on a mining vehicle

3) Mining Laser
digs straight down. needed to be installed on a mining vehicle

4) Mining Vehicles
Hovering vehicles (maybe capable of flying for a limited ammount of time) which can hold either a Geologic Scanner or a mining laser.

These are good suggestions , but I would like to see more information on the vehicle and laser, like variants of them.

I posted something on vehicles, well there was a vehicles section, but people were more forced on the spelling and grammar then on the ideas in the post.

maybe because you posted so much stuff in one single post people could not decide what to talk about?

Anyway, about the laser and the vehicle, I gave a bit less accurate information to prevent this topic from ending up like the torpedo-thread with everyone complainind about the details and noone actually talking about the basic idea or bringing in their own ideas for a long time.

There needs to be a megathread about this sort of thing, seeing as everyone claims the MCforum OP is outdated.
