PostSubject: A request for help from the community   Fri Apr 20, 2012 12:00 am

Since our musical dev seems to of quit, I decided to give a try at making some music myself. I have lots of free time anyway, but theres just one problem:

Nearly none of it is on the computer.

I DO have a 3ds, and there is cheap software available that i could use, but theres the problem, its cheap, not free. And I don't have any money.

At all.

I'm serious, not a penny.

So this is where you, the community, comes in, I found a (legal)way to get a prepaid card for free, its called Points2Shop, one of the most popular websites of this type. Basically, you just fill out surveys and get points for it, then you can trade points in and the website buys you stuff from Amazon. Now before you leave, heres what I'm NOT asking you to do and what you WON'T have to do:
Give out any personal info
Give out your (main)email
Do surveys
Spend any money in any form
Give out ANY personal info, none, I can't stress this enough

Ok, if you want to help, heres what you do:
1: Click the link in my signature, this is my referral link
2: Immediately after doing this, go to the register page
3: Go to www.fakenamegenerator.com (no, it isn't illegal or shady or anything like that, not even close)
4: If you actually want to use Points2Shop beyond just signing up and doing one thing to help, skip steps 3 and 5
5: Use the info on this site to fill in the registration form, set email to your spam email(or main if you don't mind a email every now and then)
6: Hit the register button, fix any issues that it may notify you of
7: Confirm the registration, the email it sends you tells you how(the email could take anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 hours to show up)
8: Once your account is confirmed, just watch the introduction video and follow the instructions the site gives you to complete the offer
9: Thats it, you can either keep using the site to keep getting points for stuff(1point=1cent), or just forget it
For each person who registers successfully, I get 50 points, and for each person who goes on to watch the introduction video and claim the single point it gives you, I get another 50 points. I need 2000 points overall, and I have about 750 already.

Some other things people might be wondering:
Again, no, it is not a scam, theres even a chat right in the website, just ask anyone there
No, my account was not taken over by a spambot
Yes, its safe, your not even giving them any actual personal information

Please, just take 15 minutes and help me stop being a cancerous lump on the hard working dev team's back.

Well, here's the thing.

We need to decide what to do.

Anyway, there is already the free stuff that creates random awesome music. And do you want to make it purely on the computer or have real instruments?

Neither of those, there is plenty of free software for the computer. Where most of my free time is taken up. But I sit around for literally over 5 hours on my 3ds every day just randomly browsing the web. And none of the composing software for the 3ds is free. Granted, its very cheap, but again I don't have money.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused here:

It sounds like most of your free time is taken up by your 3DS?

But then you said that it was your computer that took up most of your free time.

And even if you do sit around on your DS for hours every day, why not forget that and sit around on your computer for hours every day? So you can download the free software and use it.

I could probably help with music too you know, I do have Garage Band, which is... somewhat... useful. That, and I'm the person who knows the most about the feel of the mod, as I was the one who originally designed it.

Sure! I can do some musics, and most likely hack together a simple thing to connect the musics.

In order:

Most of the free time isn't taken up by it, its just the best thing i have to do at that time.

I play the computer for as much as 6 hours a day, but most of that time is spent playing the various addictive games on there, so sadly most of those 6 hours are taken up.

Because I can't acess the computer except for several hours in the middle of the day.

You could give it a try, but nothing says more than 1 person can't do it.

Yeah just let this die, i forgot my old DSI had enough points for the software and that you can transfer software from the DSI to the 3DS.
