The way it works in the PC version is that the fighter follows your cursor, then use the archetypal WASD to throttle, brake, and roll.

So no strafe? How about Q and E strafe side to side.

You know, I was thinking we should have a 3D crafting grid for complex recipes, but Kielaran is right: why have three dimensions when you can have six? Truly I don't know how we ever got by with a measly two.

Now, if Fr0stbyte wrote that, someone would make a sig, guaranteed. So what are you going to do now?

Fighters don't have side mounted jets. For gunships (dropships, bombers etc) maybe, but for swift fightercraft a strafe just makes you vulnerable.

The old topic is 18 down from this one, directly above the other one you made. The one that was locked. It's easier to spot.

Having SWBF2-style fighters would be great, except that I have no idea how they work on a keyboard. They're very intuitive on a PS2 controller, but the lack of joysticks could be a problem.

arrows would work fine actually.

WASD to throttle and brake and <^> (down arrow too) to go up down and roll. If you roll to the left then you can use down arrow to pull up and your ship would turn that way. SWB controls. Easy. Of course, inverted as well.

How fast will fighters be able to go without lagging your computer or the server?

I merged the old topic with this one.

Enjoy.
