I don't think the Gravemind really gets mad at anything. I guess it depends on which Gravemind. The Arbiter is the same, there are many. Thel 'Vadamee would rip out Pooh's guts.

That wasn't the guy before Thel, but I think that's who he's talking about.

Ripa was Arbiter until 2531. Thel became Arbiter in 2552. There's no room in there for another Arbiter.

That's 20 years...the Arbiter is chosen to go on a suicide mission for committing a serious crime. Logically, they could have had a new Arbiter every month until Thel screwed up.

If they did that, the Mausoleum of the Arbiter would fill up pretty fast. Ripa was Arbiter during Halo: CE, and Thel was Arbiter (I think) during Halo 3. That's not much time. You may be right, though, as there seems to have been another Arbiter during the Fall of Reach.

Uh..no.

Ripa was Arbiter during the events on Halo Wars, and he died there. Thel was Arbiter throughout Halo 2 & 3. Still, that's a while without another Arbiter.

You're right, I misread the wiki. I've never played either game, so I wouldn't know. It just seems like, if Arbiters were that common, it wouldn't be special. It's special in a very bad way, but still.

It's 2 '.'s, not 3.

No. It's not. An ellipsis uses 3 dots when a small portion of the quote has been removed, and 4 dots when more than a sentence has been removed. In this instance, '...' is correct, unless you're Lucasfilm, in which case you use '....'.

Your OP is one sentence. I don't think there's that much at stake here.

The thing has a point.
