I love Star Trek, but I think the Federation ships are too impractical for war. If you're going for an artsy looking pleasure-yacht, then they'll do great; but for anything that'll see combat, you should probably look to other franchises for a sturdier build.

I think you got the proportions wrong on the Diligent.
