| I do not know if this has been added or not but I think, we should make it so the mod has added layers into the ground. I think the ground should go about 150 or more blocks down. The sky could be the same for all I care. the lag would be fine enough with this idea. | |

| Correct me if I'm wrong (Ffr0stbyte) but the method that Jeb/Notch use (the single chunk for height) uses a lot more resources from one's computer when implemented on larger height scales than the Cubic-Chunk method that we're using. | |

| The save format is roughly the same as in cubic chunks. However, once the chunk is loaded from the harddrive into memory, it is still stored in a dense bedrock to skycap chunks like before. Even if 256 blocks were sufficient for our purposes, I would not want to use Minecraft's current chunk manager. | |
