To clarify the age thing:

Yes, I am also 13. I turn 14 in 7 days.

So it turns out that other people your age do have brains, Keon. Well, some. I certainly know the felling, watching the rest of the kids behaving like a bunch of baboons.

Also, what I meant with the music thing:

There are 9 grades when playing an instrument. There is "preliminary" than 1-8. I am doing grade 7 piano this year, and am good at the 'cello not because I am at a high grade, but progresses quickly at it.

Okay that is more clear, in America we do not have that system.

And I agree with the age thing. But there's a fine line between simply disdaining that aspect of early teenage life, and being arrogant to the point of being disliked yourself.

It shows even more of his intelligence, he didn't give out his age at first because he didn't want people to think that he was a brainless immature young kid before he got a chance to prove he wasn't.

Yes, but if you only saw one of those posts with that kind of writing and knew he was 13, still you would not think as highly of him, in my opinion.

I played this note today

I've been playing trumpet since I was 10. I'm 13 and didn't know how sharps and flats worked until last week and I've only ever played songs in the scale of concert Bb with the occasional exception of a sharp/flat or two. I mask my terribleness by being super boss at somewhat matching others pitches. I'm horribly terrible at music.

That's pretty good, I have been playing trumpet since I was 13 (6 years now) and that's about the limit of my range in an actual song. By the way, my band placed third overall (I think) and won gold in sight reading at the Canadian nationals last year. Too bad I couldn't be there, but since I double the 1st line in concert band, it wasn't exactly necessary.
