The only way to do it is to make him a moderator. I think.
I'll see...

But anyway, doesn't Shiva have a topic called "Futurecraft Total
Description" or similar, which has all of the (outdated) information about
my plan for Futurecraft?

I split the off-topic discussion and put it in Area 51. If anyone feels they have more to say, please do it there.

I prefer to educate them personally.
This guy's not doing models. Furthermore we don't have any models drawn up yet.

Sorry Doc, I can see how that was confusing, I should have quoted ^--that before I posted my super secret ingot. (FYI, I was using this little thing called humor)

I understood that. You used humor because someone posted a silly comment.

Hi there ectrimble

i would like to suggest a mod ( RP2 , Red Power 2 pre-release). Here me out. Whats one thing you can't do when you build a ship? Tighter and defined customizations. I would like to request the red power logic of RP2 to be used in futurecraft, this allows you to create half-blocks,quarter blocks and 1/8 blocks. Well im not asking you to copy code, im asking for this ablility for this upincoming mod. Let me show you some examples:

What you'll see here is RP2 pre-release 4c and in addition i create my own customized blocks. So simply i create my own texture pack for some blocks.

Uh oh. The devs have stated clearly they don't want to use Industrial Craft 2. The 1/2 block is cool though.

I'd like to have the panels, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, block stuff. I think that would make the insides of ships a bit more dynamic. We cannot incorporate RP2 or anything from that list of mods because we are not using Forge. Our power system will evolve and be an inhouse project for us, Danice and Frost have been working on that.

Personally, I don't know what we're going to add as far as small item tweaks like that, so I'm sure it will eventually come up for discussion once we get down the line a bit.

Let's just get the basic stuff done first, then we can worry about things like these panel blocks.

Agreed Doc, no point in trying to make fancy blocks if we can't do anything with them.

PostSubject: Weapons   Sat Jan 28, 2012 6:09 am

So question/s regarding Weapons , specifically ship weapons.
Are weapons on a tier system? What are the types of weapons we can place on spaceship? Will weapons occupy several blocks, like a bed occupies 2blocks?
I ask this because all i here are ideas, but not what might actually go into this game. Could be clarify the whole weapon system regarding spaceships.

Thank you

Weapons are not on a tier system. The types of weapons you can place on ships are listed on the Futurecraft page on the Minecraft Forums. Only the rapid laser turret will occupy a 1x1 space, all the others, being larger, will occupy more space. Weapons will also be able to rotate. (Well, most, not all. You wouldn't expect to see a MAC that runs the length of the ship rotating, would you?)

There are some sketches of weapons somewhere, I'll find it right now.
Here they are.

Again, with the core and module system, I would assume there is a special point module?
