Ship building blocks Empty
PostSubject: Ship building blocks   Ship building blocks Icon_minitimeThu Jan 26, 2012 11:08 am

Hey i was thinking about, it gives no sense to build a ship of the current building materials. Like a space ship of stone. Or iron which will take hundreds of years to make a single ship. You could make some easy assecible marterials like aluminium, steel or titanium which will give more sence to a ship too.
Just an idea.

Please read the Devlogs, and some other stuff. In there is the ore Trinium. This is the primary building material for your spaceships. It will be made primarily of iron with some nadaqua (Is that it?).
Also, there will be mining devices. So, yes, you will have that.

Yes, that's right. Trinium will be crafted from 8 steel and one Naquadah, creating 3 trinium blocks. The main problem will be getting the resources to smelt the 16 iron for each block of trinium (8 from ore- iron, 8 from iron- steel).

Up the iron counts in each world and add mining machines. Hint: Most of Earth's crust is iron, aluminum and silica, and it's about evenly split between the two, if I remember right.

Actually, most of the Earth's crust is air. I think. I read
that a long time ago, and I can't remember where I found that piece of
information.

Oh, doesn't matter.

If we want planets to be more realistic in their
composition, there is a mod that does that. Just saying...

They will make it easier to get resources, but not like that. Too overpowered/random.

Wouldn't that then be silicon oxide?
