So,anyone here is part of a boffer swordplay group?


I am the creator of the Nightingale group in my city

I know a guy who fences really seriously. He was saying the other day that he'd been in tournaments on four continents in 2013. He's working towards being in the Olympics in a couple of years.

"Swordplay" can be interpreted to mean several things. I am interested in most of them. Not saying which.

By SWORDPLAY

I mean this!





DRAIKANER [Red and Yellow] against MAGNUS LEGION [Blue and White.]

I fence. That means the sort of stuffy aristocratic swordplay characterized by not headbutting the enemy and then lopping their legs off. Terrible at it, though.

I did dagohir a bit, but not as a team or such.

Sometimes i like to apply chinese sword arts.


Its funny how they try to "medieval style" and i broke the defense with fast Tai Chi sword techniques.

I have a friend who's learning European style double-edged swordfighting, his teacher's kind of crazy apparently.

Well all I know is shooting, other than that I don't know any sort of combat or defence.

Shooting is a better way of defending yourself than swords, so..
EDIT: LJS is a chat ninja.

I'm decent with knives in close-quarters, and guns at medium- to long-range, but have no experience with swords.

Not rly, you wont carry a gun wherever you go, especially due to the fact you are not allowed to carry guns in mayny diff places.

I got pretty good with a butterfly knife

You won't carry a sword everywhere you go either, and I doubt that you're allowed to carry a sword with you wherever you want.

It's actually more legal to carry a .308 hunting rifle here than a sword, IIRC. Also, children can legally own and operate flamethrowers.

Actually, it's because farmers use it to clear away brush down in the southern part of the state, but probably that too.

By def I mean fists, as far as I know they are not cutting these upon entering as of now.
