I've had enough

I am sick of people derailing pony threads weather they genuinely hate it or not (some are just roleplaying). I'm not trying to give anyone points here (but do as you must). I am pointing this rule (below) at the Hasbro is broken thread. I'm requesting these people to back down or we can go the extreme route and ask for a pony subforum. I don't want any points awarded unless necessary, I just wanted the problem to come to attention.

That's why things go off topic, if nobody attempts to stop it in that thread, it's not stopping.

I will step up and say I put up a troll/RP post in the Hasbro is Broken thread on the O-T Area. I posted

A suggestion: make one MLP thread and stick with it. I'm not saying what happened in the Hasbro was right, but we've had like three topics on the matter in the last week alone. Show some respect and tolerance by keeping it to one thread, eh?

Keeping it all in one thread is a good idea as it is easier to both keep it alive and protect from trolls etc. We are not exactly supposed to be a brony nest but hey its their right to talk about MLP if they want ...

Anyway pony subforum is surely denied, we are not about ponies here. You can hold all the pony related stuff inside a thread in the off-topic area.

Also proposing for you two (bronies and brony haters) establishing a status-quo about the limits of pony usage. OFC nobody can enforce that and it would be illegal to demand so, however both sides can ask each other to stay outside of their respective discussion zones, at least with their ponies/pony hate.

See on the one hand it is somewhat annoying when someone posts ponies all day (luckily we are not there yet ...), its like speaking in a foreign language in the face of someone, he can't get what you talk about and doing that is BTW impolite. OFC you can't expect someone to not use references or make sure that everyone gets them but with ponies it is obvious who is going to get the refs and who's not. On the other hand bronies are simply members of the community, just like us, and they can discuss they things they like just like anyone else here ...



If you want to establish status-quo I'd say that the best solution is to limit pony related stuff to the specific MLP threads, that is because when posted anywhere else these references will be unrelated to the topic and won't work as a reference, that is because nobody outside the MLP threads understands in ponies. If we want to make our community run smoothly we must avoid dividing it into sub-communities. Yes in the MLP thread bronies can be bronies but if bronies want to be percepted like everyone else they should act like anyone else and talk to everyone else outside of the MLP threads. That is my opinion on the status-quo.

Ok people, I think we've had our payback, we can stop derailing their stuff.
