Steam has taken 50 - 75% off the price for all Stardock Titles, including Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion (-75%) and the Forbidden Worlds-DLC (-50%).
In case anyone here doesn't have it yet, now is the time to restore your honor.

Trinity is also available, but who needs trinity...

I'm sure it can. But the official servers can even be used with the pirated copies, so I'm not sure why someone with internet would prefer lan over a private online-party.

I've only ever used LAN.  Didn't even occur to me that online would be an option.
Awesome, I'll definitely get it. Probably never play it tho.

...No, Sins of a Solar Empyre is not an online-game. It may support multiplayer like every other good RTS, but it is completely enjoyable in singleplayer too.

A praise without a stupid smile is like a unibrow without the middle part.
Ask Fr0st. He's responsible for finding a host for the forum without those creapey smileys.

I keep a list of all the responses I make in each thread, so that I can write them correctly once it's in the present.

Both require internet, and so does the standard online mode. As that one is also available to pirated copies, as mentioned before, there is no reason not to use that service.
I swear, I've got a heavy case of deja vu right now...

Standard online is not available to pirated SOASE copies. I don't know whose rectal cavity you pulled that one out from, in order to play MP of any kind it's necessary to use a LAN game over a virtual VPN such as Hamachi or Evolve.

Must've been a highly qualitative rectal cavity. I'll consider myself lucky then.
