| I was working on FC really late last night, cuz that's how I roll. But around the time my alarm was going off, I was also dreaming about the code I was working on, messing with mesh ordering, and having trouble with the syntax. So I legitimately thought to myself, "I'll get up as soon as I finish this problem". Anyway, I worked it out after about 30 minutes worth of snoozes, and around the time I started eating breakfast it occurs to me that my brain doesn't have a compiler, and it had just been fucking with me the entire time, arbitrarily deciding when I was doing it right or wrong like a toddler imitating the actions of an adult without really understanding. (For the record, the code I thought I was writing was complete gibberish upon further review.)
These sort of shenanigans happen to me every single day. Not typically coding, but I am always doing something I think is important, and can only be accomplished by going back to sleep. And I fall for it every single day. My subconscious apparently realized at some point "I'm tired and this bed is super comfortable" wasn't good enough, so now it plays "I can't wake up yet, the world needs me." Freaking manipulative bastard...

| My sub-conscious doesn't have this kind of cunning, the most memorable dream I had was about being eaten by a giant technicolour flashing whale after my village and house (which happen to be on the top of a hill hundreds of miles away from the sea) flooded. | |

| Yeah, so the moral of the story is that if you did have a compiler microchip embedded in your brain while you slept then sleeping in would be a great idea. | |
