If you haven't been paying attention to the recent advancements in SEUS, I suggest you take a peek.

Rayleigh atmospheric scattering

Blurred fog

Unevenly distributed shadow mapping

Personally, I still think cascading shadowmaps are preferable, but it's hard to argue with results.
I thought this mod was commendable but flawed before. But now I am beginning to get seriously excited about it. The techniques and level of sophistication are becoming ever more cutting-edge, and it only keeps getting more ambitious. I can't wait to see what happens next.

And how many FPS do you get with that?

When people put videos on youtube of this they usually have some crazy ridiculous computer with like an overclocked i7 and SLI 680s.

I use a 560Ti myself, so it's generally decent for me.
But the script itself is set up so that you can pick which effects you want, so everyone should be able to run some version of the shader. It's just a matter of how much you are willing to mess with it.

No shaders work for me, not in a state where they look better than non-shadered mine raft

What settings do you use? I recently bought a 550 ti PC.

I haven't tried out the latest build with the new techniques yet.  I will need to experiment a little.

There is only one word that can describe that, and that word is beautiful.

That's amazing. The clouds going from slightly cloudy to stormy looked very realistic.
