off: Hello,I am Lightspeed and its my first post! Well...i dont know english so much so sorry for any mistake...AND thats it.


The Darkstar Security CO. is versed in inteligence gathering and mining operations,at a price.Using modified civilian ships,they operate protecting cargo or making freelance work.Based in the Beta Caeli system.

Economy: Darkstar Security CO. exports minerals and other goods.Have the control of asteroids,have a extense and heavy asteroid mining operations.

Creation: A union of various small shipyards and "freelance" cientists after The Fall,the Darkstar Security Co. begin with small in-system operations protecting some cargos with simple modified civilian ships with simple railguns.With the rise of the Terran Trade Confederation,the Corporation was rising in economy and power,achieving a small but reliable clients.

Ground troops: Especialized free lance marines and mercenaries.

Ships: 80 fighters,10 frigates,10 dropships,43 cargo ships and 20 miner ships

Territory: 1 planet,2 orbital colonys,2 orbital trade station and one starbase.

Please don't use wool when you can use "hard" blocks instead.

Hey Lightspeed12! Sorry about the frosty reception, I think most of us are from the US and so we were asleep when you posted. But being brutally honest, your stuff looks about average. Your fighter's very similar to designs that many of us have tried, and your freighter is pretty small for the class. That being said, I like the way you set up your page, it looks pretty darn good for a first stab at it. You have a good name, an easily recognizable logo, and clear descriptions of your builds; all exactly as they should be. I just suggest jazzing up your builds a bit and making them more unique (try adding some color like blockman did or even just using a different texture pack the way Iv121 and InstinctXIV do). Also, I think the Darkstar Co. looks too good not to be at the very top of your OP!

Welcome lightspeed12 to the futurecraft forum.
I like your spaceship designs, they are compact and without normal stone ( I made this mistake on my first
ships). Also I like that your transporter has piston landing legs.
For good designs look at Laserbillys design area or Iv's one.
(You can also look at mine even if they are not so good Razz Here)

And a good pack is Laserbillys one.
I hope that you enjoy the forums.

Welcome to the forum, Lightspeed! Again, sorry for the somewhat iced-over "hullo", but newbies to the forum are generally treated like scum until they prove themselves. I swear I have nothing to do with this.

On another note, good ships! I have to second Daynel and say avoid wool, but that's more to do with our DEVs having a phobia of it than it looking bad. Off to a good start, keep it up!

Yeah. There's nothing wrong with wool, but it should be used as a color, not a main hull. I see what you're doing with the white there, but iron blocks would be equally white and they look better. However, if you want orange or red or green or yellow or purple or whatever, wool is the way to go. Some people use lapis lazuli for blue, but I'm not a fan of that personally. The blue wool looks better than the lapis.

Defenses: GARDIAN system,CBT-DMB [Cyclonic Barrier Technology -Dark Matter Based] and the new ORION singularity.


The Noxus was created to stand alone in battles. Carrying 40 fighters and heavy enough to carry firepower on his own,it is the heavy unit of the Corporation. Using the new developed CBT-DMB,it can utilize the dark matter around him to create a powerful barrier for a small period of time,cycling around the ship making it almost impossible to hit. The new ORION singularity,a better version of the stealth engine of the Darkstar Corp. is installed,giving it the capacity of staying stealth even if warping. its suited to heavy ships.

With the development of the particle cannons,they are now stable and small,being used in medium turrets,what before was impossible and used along the hull of the entire ship.

I'm in love with the overall shape from above, but you should really consider going the extra mile and slanting the 'wings' down Mass Effect Alliance Cruiser style - it'll look even better.

A bit of lore and a new ship.


CBT-Dark Matter Module =  Cyclonic Barrier Technology-Dark Matter Module


The CBT-Dark Matter Module converts the dark matter around it to create a special type of barrier for incursions. The special void shield neutralize everything that hits it,however it demands high levels of energy and its not made for long battles with the shield on. The nature of the Cyclonic Barrier itself is a powerful shield,oscilating the deflectors very fast,making a rotating motion slowing down projectiles and dispersing energy beams.

Disruptor beam cannons using the refined hadron technology can break or disrupt the shields ,giving it time to launch the Spitfire micro-torpedoes. Modular construction assures great numbers of this hybrid ship.

The Vector is a cheap interceptor. Fast,manueverable and powerful on taking down enemy crafts,the Vector is a fine addition to the Darkstar Fleet. Made of a special material,it can deflect DRADIS and disrupt minor signals to a degree,making it special for ambushes or as a fast strike craft against incoming ships.

The Seraph class carrier is the new escort carrier of the Corporation. With a modular construction,can be assembled and delivered to the battle very fast. This leads to a somewhat low durability,but the job of a carrier is not be durable.Aiding the Darkstar flootilas as rear escorts,they are fast and very well armed for a carrier.Carrying a small compliment of fighters and bombers,its not made to support a entire fleet,but it get the job done in small fleets.

With its turreted 155mm rail cannon and coaxial-mounted machine gun, the Queadol can provide a fireteam with weapon support as well as mobility. Since Darkstar forces may be required to fight on any world in a variety of planetary environments, the Queadol is environmentally sealed and powered by a hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell.

The vehicle's armor is tough enough to withstand high drops, extreme heat and cold and rough terrain. The Queadol suspension allow the vehicle to adapt to various terrain, as well as enabling the vehicle to change direction quickly.

The Queadol hull is covered with laser detection arrays, which forewarn the crew of enemy laser-guided ordnance. Ground-penetrating radar allows detection of anti-vehicle mines and other subsurface anomalies. These will be brought to the attention of the crew by the vehicle's micro-frame computer system.

Surprisingly cheap,it can be constructed and deployed very fast,being the main choice for the Corporation.

The Imp is very fast. Normally a human being cannot withstand the impact and the necessary cognitive power to operate this special kind of fighter,so all pilots must wear a Meta-Cognitive Microframe on the brain or at least connected to the cortex,turning the pilot and the ship as one and counter-acting against psionics technology. Agile and extremely maneuverable,the Imp is a advanced space superiority fighter.

Stealth by nature,uses a special metal layer to block DRADIS signals,as well as a special layer of paint used to deflect energy-based weapons to a degree,helping agains GARDIAN Anti-Aircraft systems or assist in dogfighting. Capable of a very limited field of jump because of a small eezo core,it can be used to stage hit-e-run tactics against incoming fleets.

Weapons: Many configurations [Usual is 2x Rocket pods [30 rockets each] , 1x "Firestorm" gattling gun and one side-mounted .50 cal. turret for ground support]


The Moth is a multi-role ship. When in battle,can be used as a gunship or troop transport offering CAS to fireteams. When in peace,can be used as a transport for VIP´s or as a escape shuttle from large ships. Fast,manevuerable and cheap,its a mainstay on the Corporation Fleet.
